“Villa Luiz 1 - We spent Christmas and New Year at this villa and had a really lovely time. This is the 5th year I have booked villas in Puerto Del Carmen as a Christmas present for my family, beside my husband and brother, my children and 2 grandchildren come along and love it.
I must say that we had not seen the couple of poor reviews prior to booking and I was really upset when I did, so much so I considered cancelling.
I needn't have worried everything was fine, the villa location was great, a few minutes walk from 3 supermarkets, 3 really nice restaurants, a great little bar (the Kasbah), a fabulously stocked fresh fish shop (great for our BBQ's) and even a Pizza takeaway. My daughter was delighted as the Biosfere was less than 10 minutes away straight down the main road which for Puerto Del Carmen was unusally flat ! From here its a couple of minutes into the old town. From the villa, Its about 20 minutes to the centre of the main avenue in the new town for the beach. My brother has severe walking difficulties and needs a walking stick, he found this location the best we have stayed at.
Although just off the main road that goes right down to the Biosfere, the villa itself was the last in a quite cul-de-sac and the terrace was covered in sunshine from morning until night. The interior was spotlessly clean, as was the bed linen and towels, and there was everything one would need for a great holiday.
The villas we have had previously have mainly been in the Los Mojones district with really large gardens and grounds, but there was always a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest supermarket, and we are talking really steep hills in that area. I completely agree with Louis's response to the complaints about towels and linen, in all the villas we have been in they are very rarely new, and the constant industrial cleaning does make them fade more quickly.
I can honestly say we all agreed this was one of the best holidays we have had and a we would all happily go back to this villa again.
Thank you Louis and staff”

“Villa Louis I had an unrivalled south facing position which ensured the patio and pool were drenched in sunshine all day. The Villa is well equipped including all the normal kitchen appliances, together with coffee machine and juicer. We were spoilt for choice with the bedrooms and rotated around the villa during our stay. There is also a tv, dvd player and cd player in the comfortable living room. There is even a barbeque for the evening on the terrace. The villa is well located with a Netto Supermarket less than 5 minutes away, together with a good and very cheap car rental company near by(a tour of the island is a must). The old town isn’t far and the beach is within easy reach. All in all very good value for money and we will certainly recommend Luis Villas to others.”

“"Nearly perfect"
"We stayed in Villa Luis for 2 weeks. The house is very clean and the rooms are well furnished. The kitchen has the necessary equipment for cooking meals, which we regulary did. The location is fairly good, the spot is perfect as a base for all parts of the island.
Especially the heated pool is a good service but also a must until March. Without the heating we wouldn't have gone in the water.
The surrounding is really quite and save; perfect for a relaxing holiday. The restaurants and supermarkets within 5 walking minutes are sufficent and we loved going to "o Churrasco" down the street. The rabbit and the ribs they make are a really must!
Concerning the owner: the communication was more than perfect! From all my holidays I booked over the inernet so far (half a dozen) this was the best organised. Fast reactions, always friendly and a secure payment over paypal. For what more can you ask? Thanks again for the great holiday!
One last note: we also stayed in Villa Delfin for 2 days. If you plan the go to the beach every day, choose Villa Delfin. If you are more the type who wants to get around, chose Villa Luis. Villa Luis is better equipped, newer, the pool can be heated and most important: the villa is wind-shielded! Villa Delfin is located in the "artifical" part of the town (hotels, bungalows and nothing else), very windy (but with a real nice sight) and nearer to the beach."”

“Stayed 22/03/2010 Villa Luis 111
The villa is disappointing, split over three levels with one bedroom, the master, in the basement-I would not have wanted to sleep in that room. It was dark, airless and musty. The other two bedrooms are on the first level and bright and airy, however the beds are composed of a bedbase and matress topper, no matress, come on!!! And ill-fitting sheets which don't stay fitted on the bed. Moreover, the location of the villa is totally misrepresented on the website. It is actually at the top of the main drag--juan carlos rd-- at the roundabout leading to the road that takes you to the airport. The noise is terrible and the road very busy, not suitable at all for small childen or buggies/elderly/or anyone for that matter. We went to the beach most days to get away from the noise, a 20min walk there and back, downhill and uphill. From this point of view I have to say AVOID. Far too many other up market properties with superb locations in PdelC to consider this one.”

“I didn't feel that this villa was very homely. We have stayed in numerouse villas before and this one definatley lacked the personal touch. The Jet shower that was advertised didn't work. There were no oven gloves in the kitchen, a bit tricky if you wanted to cook. The BBQ was filthy and rusty, no way could we use it. The bedding looked as if it was ancient. None of it matched and it was dirty. The towels had definatley seen better days. The pool was suppose to be heated and we paid an extra £75 for the week but it was freezing. The pool was dirty when we arrived but someone jumped over the wall and gor rid of the leaves, surley he should have knocked on the door, he could have been anyone. I don't think the pool was cleaned properly with the correct chemicals because two of my kids caught an ear infection which was a direct result of dirty pool water (we saw our doctor on our return). Such a shame as you charged a fortune !!!!!!!!!!!”
Owner's response:
Just to clarify that this person, during your stay no informed us that the shower did not work, that the pool was so cold.
I really can not tell if this is true, that customers who arrived later, and today are in the villa not have told us that the shower does not work. and have not said anything about the temperature of pool water.
Bed linen and towels, can not be totally new, since all linens and towels, we sent it to a laundry, laundry only for hotels and villas, all clothing is washed with bleach and disinfectant products, and These products take a little the color of Bed linen and towels.
This property will normally be available for occupation by 16.00, on the day of arrival , but they came to villa at 14.00, and so the pool man, came to clean the pool when guests were already in the villa
The system heated pool, elevates the water temperature to 27 degrees celsius.
The machine indicated in each time the water temperature, if the water was not hot, why did not communicate anything to us during your stay?
The pool man is an employee of a company specializing in cleaning and maintenance of swimming pools, chemicals are always correct, for we do periodic reviews to verify
if the children a infecion by ear, possibly was the entry of water in the ear, I also have children, and to avoid the water into the ear, when they make diving, should use special wax plugs to dive in pool and ocean
It's easy blames the house or the owners, of all small problems that may arise while traveling

“The villa is better than the pictures. we had a great stay.
Thank you, you have a really beautiful house, decorated with a fabulous style, very spacious inside and out, very private and secure, you have plenty of room and you do not feel overwhelmed.
The villa is very quiet and has no building work surrounding area
I was with my husband and my 3 sons, my husband and I in a floor with private bath, and my three sons in the bedrooms, in another different floor, with its own bathroom, almost as if my husband and I, we had gone on holiday alone.
Only 2 mins walk to nearest bar, resturant and supermarket, and 5 mins walk to a modern shopping center.
The villa I felt fabulous and we had some fantastic holiday and a very good level of privacy for sunbathing. Since then recommend it to everyone, I would return tomorrow.”

“The villa was in a fairly good position within about 15-20 min walk to the strip and beach. It was a bit worrying when a digger turned up in the land behind the garden a few days before we left and proceeded to work very noisily all day. It would appear they are preparing to do some building work. The accomodation was adequate but a few extras would make a big difference. It would be very good to have a couple of parasols for some shade in the garden. Some leaflets of places to visit would have been helpful and maybe suggestions from other people of good places to eat. Also, I think some washing up liquid and maybe a few dishwasher tablets to last until you are able to go shopping should be provided.”
