“The villa is very comfortable with lots of accommodation, as it is on 4/5 floors so its good for the legs! Kitchen well equipped, dining area very comfortable, bedrooms well furnished and two bathrooms in excellent shape. We used the downstairs outside living area every day and spent evenings on the roof garden with a glass of wine, enjoying the view, birds and bell tower. The village is small, has all the fruit and vegetable from local farmers, excellent stores (small) with good tapas bars. We understand there is a night club but never visited that. We had a wonderful 12 days, helped by the hospitality and friendliness of the local people.”

“We were very lucky to have found this place online. Our family, 3 adults and 3 children, stayed for 3 weeks in May. There was room to spare. The home is beautifully restored, comfortably furnished, and well equipped. The beds are cofortable and the kitchen has everything you need to put together multiple-course feasts. The owners and caretakers are very kind and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Alhama de Granada is a great place to stay - take the city tour, hike in the gorge, do the tapas stroll. A great home base if you want to explore Andalucia (by car) and get a feel for rural Spain.”

“We spent 2 ideal weeks based in this beautiful house. The interior is beautifully done out in a modern yet traditional Spanish style. Our hosts met us and showed us around ,offered some help with settling in and told us some valuable information about local, shops, bars and restaurants. They live near by and are available if you need them.Alhama is a beautiful small town surrounded by mountain ranges and olive groves. The gorge or Tajos is one of the most stunning views we have seen.We spent our time walking in the beautiful countryside and relaxing in the town square. We loved it and thoroughly recommend the experience to those who want a taste of real Spain.10 out of 10.We will be back.”

“The property is delightful and situated in a lovely area of the small town of Alhama de Granada. The nearby caretaker was extremely helpful and friendly, offering us good advice on places to visit etc. The property was well equipped with everything we could have asked for and it was lovely and cool to return to in the heat of the day, even in the month of August when we were there. The nearby gorge below the town is stunning and provided numerous walks as well as fishing with handlines bought from a small shop in the town. The townspeople were very friendly and, despite the fact that our Spanish was basic and their English was almost non-existent on the whole, we always managed to eat and drink well! The property is also well situated for striking out to Cordoba and Granada as well as the coast. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in order to experience the real Spain!”

“This is a fabulous place to stay, from which to enjoy the charming town of Alhama and the surrounding area. We were given a warm welcome by Lisa. She showed us around the property and she answered all of our questions and gave us lots of useful information. The house has clearly been very thoughtfully renovated, and to a very high standard, providing comfortable and very spacious accommodation. We particularly loved the rooftop terrace, which is split over 3 levels and provides wonderful views. The location of the house is excellent, a short walk to the main plaza and the historical areas but on a quiet road. I would highly recommend a stay at this property.”

“We absolutely loved this home and the beautiful town of Alhama! The home is so comfortable, clean, and charming. It is tucked in a charming street of the town, just minutes walking from the main plaza. We loved the roof top terrace overlooking the church and the beautiful countryside. Starry nights on the terrace were enchanting! The caretaker of the home gave us a warm welcome with a wonderful welcome basket, and suggestions for things to see and do in the area, and was always available for any questions we might have. We felt right at home. Alhama is just a beautiful town tucked in the hills. The scenery is breathtaking. It is off the beaten path, but an easy day trip to Granada, the coast, or even Cordoba and Seville. We especially enjoyed hiking the gorge in Alhama. There are some great places for meals and tapas. We would return in a heart beat!”
