About Villa Corus In The Orba Valley

Villa Corus is a charming and comfortable detached villa situated in a small mature residential development on the outskirts of the traditional village of Benidoleig. The property is elevated, set over 3 floors and has superb panoramic views across the Orba Valley. The villa's front door opens into the living area of the property with lounge/dining room, modern recently-fitted kitchen with doors from both areas to a covered dining terrace. A staircase leads from the living area down to the bedrooms level where there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The villa's pretty landscaped garden has several seating/dining terraces and areas of privacy all with wonderful extensive views across the valley. The pool terrace is very spacious with an 8 x 4 metre pool, large parasols, dining furniture and table tennis table. Next to the pool is the lower floor garden room with sofa bed, shower and WC, kitchen and refrigerator - perfect for outside living.

Villa Corus is situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Benidoleig in the Orba Valley. The Orba Valley is located just 15 minutes drive inland of the coastal resort of Denia and is a beautiful area of orange and almond trees, vineyards and olive groves framed by dramatic mountains. A superb location for a holiday - 5 minutes walk to 2 local restaurants (one with a large pool for customer use) and tennis courts and a short drive to village shops, bars and restaurants. The property is a 15 minute drive to the coastal resorts and beaches or turn inland and visit the wineries, country restaurants and markets of the Orba and Jalon Valleys.

Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. All beds have Dunlopillo mattresses and pillows. All 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning (hot and cold air) and ample storage cupboards. It is possible to sleep a further person utilising the sofa bed in the lower floor poolside garden room. Shower room 1 with shower cubicle, WC, handbasin, on the living room level. Bathroom 2 with bath, shower over, WC, handbasin, on the bedrooms level. Bathroom 3 with bath, shower over, WC, handbasin, on the bedrooms level. Shower room 4 with shower cubicle, WC, handbasin, in the poolside garden room.

Newly-fitted modern kitchen, well-equipped, with oven/hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker.

Open plan lounge dining area with beamed ceilings. Comfortable lounge seating for 4 persons, dining table and chairs for 4 persons, TV with UK channels, DVD and video player, gas heater. Door to outside covered dining terrace with dining table and chairs for 6.

Very spacious pool terrace with 8 x 4 salt water pool, large parasols, dining furniture, sunlounger, table tennis table. Poolside garden "leisure" room with sofa bed, shower and WC and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and washing machine, gas heater. Various attractive garden terraces with seating and dining areas throughout the garden. BBQ area.

There is a WC and shower room located off the lounge/dining room. There is a carport at the front of the property for off-road parking. Beach/pool towels are provided. Welcome pack includes tea, coffee, milk, sugar, wine, water, toilet tissue.

The property is cleaned prior to your arrival and quality towels and linen plus pool/beach towels are included. Linen/towel change is provided for bookings of 2 weeks plus. The property's local keyholder will meet you on arrival in the village and take you to the villa to show you around, ensuring you are familiar with the local area and can recommend places to eat, shop, visit.

£150 security damages deposit refundable within 10 days of your departure.

We can accept payment by credit card.

Earliest check-in is 3pm (earlier if at all possible) and latest check-in is 10pm.

Owner's Tips

Villa Corus is a delightful holiday villa choice - comfortable property, lovely gardens and pool terrace with the added bonus of a poolside garden "leisure" room. The property is situated in a quiet semi-rural location on a small residential development with wonderful views and its unusual to find such properties within walking distance of restaurants.

Benidoleig village with selection of bars, restaurants and shops, 5 minutes by car. Two excellent restaurants, one with large pool, tennis courts - 5 minutes walk. Orba and Ondara towns with further choice of restaurants, bars, shops, coffee bars, internet cafes, wineries, 10 minutes by car. Orba and Jalon Valley rustic restaurants are within a 15-minute drive radius offering excellent food with lots of choice at good prices. Large hypermarket, shopping mall, fast food, cinema, 10 minutes drive.

Excellent beaches at Oliva, El Vergel and Denia within 15/20 minutes' drive.

Valencia airport 1 hour by car, Alicante airport 75 minutes by car

I started my business Find The Real Spain from the successful and extremely enjoyable experience of renting my own property, La Terraza, in the Jalon Valley. Friends and neighbours here in Spain approached me to rent their properties for them and that´s how the business started! I have a portfolio of around 30 properties for holiday rental - individual, high-quality and all with private pools, in the areas of the Jalon Valley, inland Costa Blanca and inland Costa del Azahar (between Alicante and Valencia).

What we love about our business
I´ve always enjoyed travel, homes, gardens and sunshine so I guess this is the ultimate job for me! We offer a very "hands on" approach to our guests ensuring that they are met on arrival, shown around their holiday property, answer any questions they may have on arrival and we are always at the end of a phone for support if required during their stay (the holiday property information folder is comprehensive but there is always further information that can be helpful depending on the guests´ particular interests).

“We stayed at the Villa 3rd to 10th Sept 2011 and had a fabulous week with both the weather and the facilities the Villa had to offer. The location of the Villa is very peaceful with magnificent views over the Orba Valley from both the poolside and the terraces, and is suitable for both a couple as we were or a family of up to 6/7. We will consider evisiting with our family in the future.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Corus. There were 5 in our party - 2 adults, 2 teenager daughters our son who is 9. The bedroom accommodation and bathroom configurations worked really well for the family. The modern kitchen served us perfectly well and was very well stocked with equipment. As the villa can accommodate up to 7 people, I would recommend that you invest in one or two very large saucepans - trying to cook for 5 using only small saucepans was quite difficult - but other than that, it was great.

It was a shame the loo in the pool room didn't function and could not be fixed during our stay - it would have saved us going into the main house whilst wet from the pool, every time we needed the facilities - but this was a minor issue in the scheme of things and we appreciate it was not for want of trying that it could not be mended. It was very much appreciated that John (our handyman) was nearby and Angie was very responsive to any problems we had.

We had an issue with the boiler feeding one of the bathrooms, which also meant that we didn't always have hot water for one of the showers which again, was a minor irritation as we all had to share the remaining showers. If some properties have not been occupied for some time, then perhaps they should go through a 'commissioning' period ahead of the season starting where all plumbing, electrics, etc are tested for a week leading up to the first occupation. This may avoid some of the problems we had, although we appreciate one can't predict every possible malfunction ... like the local labour force going on a month's holiday without finishing the trench on the road outside the property ... this is Spain, afterall!!

What really made the holiday was the lovely (salt water) swimming pool set in the large terrace - loads of space and lots of furniture to sit/lie on. We would definately return to Villa Corus and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, rural (but not so remote that you can't get a loaf of bread or a coffee within 10 minutes) retreat.
