About the property

Villa on the Fuerteventura Golf Course, home of the Canaries Open in 2004. The villa has been furnished to the highest standard and being in the front row of La Colina has great views out to the Atlantic and over to the Golf Course.

The property is within a gated garden area making it very safe for young children. Guests have use of the large communal pool area which has sun loungers, WC, showers and a separate child’s pool. The beach, bars, restaurants and large Atlantico Shopping Centre are a 15 minute walk away, or you can use the free courtesy coach service which runs throughout the day (except for the afternoon siesta period!) which runs from the 5* Golf Hotel/Clubhouse which is only five minutes walk away.

The property can sleep up to 6 adults, 1 child and 1 infant and has cable TV via satellite and a Playstation 2. The villa is ideal from both family and golf holidays or just great for those that want to get away and enjoy the sunny climate!

Bedroom 1 with king size bed, ceiling fan, fitted wardrobes and balcony with views out to sea and over golf course. Bedroom 2 with twin beds, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan and large rear balcony. Bedroom 3 with twin beds, ceiling fan and fitted wardrobe. Fully tiled bathroom with bath/shower, WC, bidet, large marble unit with hand basin, mirror and shaving point. Ground floor bathroom with small bath/shower, WC and mirror.

Tastefully fitted kitchen with 4 ring hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine etc. Granite worktops and all necessary utensils. Utility room with iron and ironing board with window to side. Large outside airer fitted to rear of this room. Storage for inflatables etc.

Large lounge/diner with satellite TV (over 70 channels). CD player, Playstation 2 which can be used to play DVDs (selection of games/DVDs and CD at house). Leather sofas and patio doors leading to large terrace area. All rooms have black out curtains fitted to keep the rooms cool during the day and also allow you to have a lay in!

English speaking management available 24/7. All bed linen and bath towels are provided. We ask all guests to bring their own beach towels. We have a travel cot at the property. Maid service is on weekly basis additional cleans are available at extra cost - payable locally.

The large terrace area has a brick built BBQ with a large wooden table that will seat up to 8 people. There are sun loungers with cushions for your use, no plastic garden furniture at this property! The garden area is now mature and is maintained on a weekly basis. On the back wall of the house there is a large airer for your use.

About Costa Caleta, Fuerteventura

Costa Caleta (formerly Caleta de Fuste)

Costa Caleta (formerly known as Caleta de Fuste) thrives on tourism, with lots of accommodation to offer, a fantastic golden sandy beach popular for water sports enthusiasts. The tourist centre of El Castillo (the castle) stands next to the harbour and is well worth a visit.

The town of Caleta is often referred to as a holiday village. The man made beach has been carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe. This ensures it is perfectly safe for children of all ages. Those wanting to be a little more adventurous can go diving, hire jet skis or learn to windsurf at the water centre on the beach. Costa Caleta harbour is home to many yachts, catamarans and boats which provide local trips as well as providing a beautiful backdrop in the evenings.

There is a multitude of good restaurants in Costa Caleta that can cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Steaks and Fish are particularly good, however there are also Chinese, Indian, Greek and English restaurants all within a close area. There are also a number of good supermarkets within the area.

Situated on the east coast of the island, roughly 10km south of the airport and approximately 20 minutes south of Puerto del Rosario. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro (65p) it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around. Budget car rental in Costa Caleta is available for those wishing to explore the island at their leisure.

The villa is located on the first golf course in Fuerteventura. The course hosted the 2004 Spanish Open and is 6069m long from the men's championship tees. It is an 18 hole course with 2 loops of nine holes both starting and finishing at the clubhouse. There are 3 large lakes with a stream that meanders between them. There is a practise area which has a 50 bay driving range and professional tuition is available in various languages. Buggies, trolleys and two classes of clubs can be hired.

There is another 18 hole golf course ‘Las Salinas’ located next door to the Golf Resort which has practise area and Clubhouse which enjoys good ambience. Due to the wonderful climate in Fuerteventura you really can play golf 365 days a year.

Caleta de Fuste is just a short drive from the airport and is a very popular location for families due to it's sweeping, horseshoe shaped, bay which provides safe bathing for children. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the property as are the nearest shops, bars and restaurants. The High Street has plenty of shops for a little retail therapy, or for some more serious shopping then head down to the nearby Atlantico Centre which has a large supermarket, banks, boutiques, a cinema (with at least one films playing in English at most times), a ten pin bowling alley and amusement arcade. The Atlantico Centre is just a 10 minute walk along the beach promenade and at the rear you will find some beautiful, man made, lagoon beaches with sunbeds and parasols.

Watersports enthusiasts are well catered for in the harbour area where you can go deep sea fishing, scuba diving and much more. Or why not see the local sealife from a different perspective and take the submarine trip around the harbour followed by a sea lion show.

Fuerteventura enjoys year round sunshine and it's diverse scenery means that it really does have something for everyone from the stunning sand dune beaches in the far North and South of the island, to world renowned surf beaches and, of course, plenty to keep the kids occupied if they get tired of the beach. If you hire a car then take time to explore the mountainous interior and maybe head down south to the Oasis Park Zoo and Cactus Gardens, or head north to Corralejo and spend a day at the Baku waterpark or even take a ferry across to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote for a change of scenery for the day.
