About the property

This first floor apartment has recently been decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is situated within a four star Thompson Superfamily complex - The Oasis Papagayo. It is ideal for a couple or a family of 4 although the sofa bed does have an extra pull out with room for a little one!

The complex is clean and friendly with well maintained swimming pools including separate children's pools and garden areas. Plenty of amenities on site including bowling, poolside drinks and snacks, entertainment throughout the day and on the complex at night during holiday season.

A two minute walk over the road is the Baku Park. A fantastic water park, zoo, bowling alley, play centre and twice weekly markets - lots of fake designer bargains and local crafts to buy.

The complex is 10 minutes walk from Correlejo which is full of shops, bars, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The old town harbour area is fantastic to sit at night and eat or drink and watch the world go by! Lots of live music bars catering to all tastes. Very welcoming atmosphere for all - young and old.

Straight in the newly stripped and painted front door is a large, bright and airy living area with a sofa bed, lazy chair, coffee table, chest of drawers with tv & dvd player. There is a large selection of dvds, books, games for guest's enjoyment. There is also ipod charger and speakers for guests to use their own ipod with. We have left a large folder with many leaflets and information regarding the complex and island to help plan your holiday.

There is a dining area with a table and four chairs.

The kitchen is well equipped with a two ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge plus utensils and crockery.

The marbled bathroom is large with a wc, bath and shower. Very large mirrored wall over sink/vanity unit. The bedroom has twin beds (pushed together) and lots of storage space in built in wardrobes. A vanity area with table and chair.

There is a private terrace with a table and four chairs. Also pull out dryer to hang swimming towels and costumes to dry after a day by pool or day on the beach.

Fully insured airport transfers available at an extra cost.

About Corralejo, Fuerteventura

Situated on the northern tip of the island, Corralejo is the biggest and busiest resort on Fuerteventura. Once a working fishing town, it has become one of the most popular destinations in the Canaries. With fantastic year round sunshine and perfect windsurfing conditions, Corralejo is where it’s at. People come from afar to view the rolling sand dunes and magnificent beaches. Whilst in the town centre there is a large surplus of hotels and restaurants to choose from.

Owner's Tips...

Corralejo is a resort situated at the northern end of Fuerteventura. It is considerably larger than Caleta de Fuste. It is an ideal resort for relaxing round the pool or on the beach and is suitable and very welcoming to families with children.

The original part of the town is based around the old harbour, which was used by local fishermen. Here the small sheltered beach, Playa la Clavellina, provides safe bathing for locals and holidaymakers alike. Fishing from the harbour wall is a popular pastime. The more modern facility consists of a marina for pleasure craft and room for the ferry services to Lanzarote and Lobos, a small island that is a 15 minute ferry ride from Fuerteventura. There are various trips that run from the harbour. A short distance south of the old port are a couple of more spacious sandy beaches that have fine views of the Island of Lobos. Whereas the small beach by the old harbour in Corralejo seems to making use of the space, these larger beaches are aimed at holidaymakers staying in the north of Fuerteventura, and have everything needed for a day at the beach on Fuerteventura.

The town is surrounded by sand dunes and miles of sandy beaches that form a nature reserve. The beaches between Punta de Tivas and the Tres Islas hotels, called Playa del Pozo, Playa del Medano and Playa de Viejo run in to each other and this sandy shore is sometimes called Flag Beach. These beaches are exposed to the wind and this makes these beaches ideal places to pursue those activities that require a little more life to the water. Corralejo´s location on Fuerteventura means that it is well positioned for many sports activities. The are north and east facing beaches close by and this allows those who enjoy surfing, windsurfing or kite boarding to move to spend their days in different locations depending upon how the wind is affecting the waves or blowing in relation to the shore.

There is plenty opportunity to go deep sea fishing, scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling, dophin safari etc.

On dry land the list is also endless ..... Those that are into hiking or mountain biking have a choice of off road tracks and the distances travelled can be adjusted to suit the time available. Besides the trike tours run by Fuerte Trike there are other possibilities including buggy tours and excursions as well as quad bike tours, go kart racing, jeep safari etc.

A great day trip to the Oasis Park will have you visiting their zoo, botanical gardens and camel safari as they travel in convoy across the dunes.
