If you are looking to have a stress free holiday and wishing to stay at a quiet location and still wanting to be close to Puerto del Carmen and its sea side attractions with its beaches, then Casita Canaria is for you. This fine self-catering holiday home nestles in the hills above Puerto del Carmen in the Canarian Village of La Asomada. You are only a 5 minutes drive away from the district town of Tias, Lanzarote’s main resort of Puerto del Carmen and the renowned marina of Puerto Calero.

On arrival at the Casita you are greeted with a welcome pack, which includes light and strong refreshments.

Casita Canaria rental accommodation offers three bedrooms, one twin and one double, one bathroom, a large light and airy lounge and a fully and well equipped modern kitchen. Adjacent is a self contained studio with double sofa bed, shower room and small kitchen. This holiday home is perfect for a family with a grand parent or a family friend. Of course both units can be rented separately.

All 3 bedrooms have good sized wardrobes with drawers and hanging space and two units have a built-in safe.

The spacious and light lounge with its full size sliding glass doors on to the upper gated private terrace has stunning sea views over the countryside. There are self catering dining facilities for 6 persons, satellite TV ( limited Engl. programs), DVD, CD with USB facility and radio. You can also order an Internet connection via an 3.5 GB modem or WiFi. at €25 per week, but this needs to be pre-ordered. Comfortable soft furnishings and ample reading material and games will give you pleasure while relaxing and enjoying your holiday.

The modern kitchen offers a full electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, espresso and washing machine. Apart from the usual electric kettle, coffee maker and toaster there are many more useful kitchen utensils provided.

Outside there are two terraces, the upper terrace has a shaded area with seating facilities and there is a lockable gate which prevents small children from getting to the pool terrace. The lower terrace has the 8m x 4m solar heated salt water pool, so no chemicals are used in this pool. The pool is private if the whole property is rented. In the cooler winter month the pool can be additionally electrically heated for a small charge of €85 per week. Here too you will fine a barbecue, dining for six persons and comfortable sun loungers by the pool. The whole property is wall surrounded and private and so is the pool, if you rent the total holiday accommodation, or if the studio is not occupied.

Holiday rental prices

If you wish to holiday in privacy check if you can rent the studio at the same time at a special price of £120 per week.

A reservation can only be guaranteed once a deposit has been received. Payments can be made via PayPal, bank transfers or in cash at hand-over of keys.

One of the conditions of reserving this holiday rental home is that you and all members of your party take out an adequate travel insurance. We can not be held responsible for any loss, damage to your property or any personal injury.

Babies under the age of 2 years go free, but a hire charge for baby cots of €20 and €15 for a highchair is made .

About La Asomada, Lanzarote

The Canarian village of La Asomada is a 10-minute drive to the resort of Puerto del Carmen with its' beaches and wide range of shops and restaurants. The village has a small supermarket, which is very close to hand. Further shopping facilities are available in the nearby town of Tias, which is the local parish capital.

Owner's Tips

La Asomada is a delightful and peaceful Spanish village with one small supermarket and a local bar. The village is centrally located for all excursions around the island. You are only 15 minutes drive away from the airport, 10 minutes to Puerto del Carmen with its shops and sandy beaches. Likewise you can reach the local town of Tias with its newly opened golf course and the famous marina of Puerto Calero within 10 minutes. Holidaying in La Asomada however does require a car.
Also, please remember it is a condition of booking this holiday home that you and any member of your party is cover by an adequate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen medical expenses or the loss or damage of your personal items, or indeed for cancellation of your booking.

About us
Having lived and worked in England in the hotel industry for over 35 years and travelled numerous continents and countries, my real love for the island of Lanzarote never faded. I retired early in life and settled in La Asomada where I now live very happy and contend with my two best friends Diva and Heiko my Dalmatian pets. I own two properties, Casita Canaria in La Asomada and Villa Jersey in the main resort of Puerto del Carmen close to all its tourist attractions, beach and the Old Harbour. An ideal property for the 'beach lover'. The other property Casita Canaria is situated in a more rural area but still very close to all the interesting lively sites of Lanzarote and more suited for the lover of a quiet and peaceful holiday. What we love about our property
I bought Villa Jersey off plan in one of Puerto del Carmen's better residential areas, to create a comfortable holiday home for friends and visitors. It is situated in a very quiet location and still close to all amenities, which makes it the perfect holiday retreat. One does not need to hire a car and there is certainly no traffic noise, although you can reach the airport within 15 minutes. The property offers privacy with a superb south facing terrace and its heated roman style pool. It is wall surrounded and stands in 500m2 of ground.

My guests are telling me that when staying at Villa Jersey they can totally unwind and always enjoy my 'starter pack' on arrival. After which they like to stock up on groceries for the week in order to enjoy a lazy time by the pool, or to get ready for a fantastic family barbecue. The kitchen has all sorts of modern utensils and is well stocked with good china and glass sufficient for at least 10 persons. The swimming pool is solar heated but can have additional electric heating in the winter month if needed. As one visitor mentioned in the guest book 'all in all a fine home from home'. The beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and discos of Puerto del Carmen are only a few minutes walk away.

Casita Canaria and Studio, is well furnished, has two terraces, one upper and the lower pool terrace, which can be locked so small children can not reach the salt water pool. The views over the countryside right to the sea are a delight and at night over a glass or two of local wine you can enjoy the same view under a starry sky by looking at the twinkling lights of Fuerteventura you can dream away your worries. La Asomada enjoys of course the same delightful sunshine as the whole island, but in the summer month it does not get as stifling hot as in Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen, and it is much more comfortable to sleep at night without air-conditioning. By the way, the property has mosquito nets on all bedroom windows with window shutters.
