Costa Teguise is one of the main tourist resorts on the island, with big luxury hotels and apartments where architecture and landscape have been harmoniously integrated. As well as the main beach of Las Cucharas there are many other waterfront areas to choose from.
If sport is your thing then Costa Teguise is well worth a visit. With several diving centres, a golf course and bicycle hire shops all at arms length you can't go far wrong. For families, Ocean Water Park is based just 2km inland from Costa Teguise which boasts water slides, flumes and heated swimming pools. Open daily from 10am – 6pm.
There are many restaurants in Costa Teguise where the locals welcome those with children, don't be surprised if they are given sweets at the end of a meal!
The Villa is situated at 'Las Cucharas' which is the main beach in Costa Teguise. At this beach you can hire equipment for windsurfing, diving, boggie boarding and kayaking etc. Or if you are looking for a relax why not hire the sun shades and beds. You have a huge selection of restaurants nearby ranging from Local Tapas Bars, Indian, Pizza, French cuisine Chinese restaurants etc etc..., there is something for every one in Costa Teguise. The islands only Water Park and Golf Course are both in Costa Teguise on the road to Tahiche. There is a craft market in Pueblo Marinero on a Friday evening. You also have the Sunday market in La Villla de Teguise which is a short taxi ride away. There are a number of interesting places to visit on the island from Luna volcanic Lanscapes to Caves, Art Galeries to Children's theme parks as Costa Teguise is central on Lanzarote these are all within 30 minutes from the villa.
About us
Lanzarote Retreats.com is a family run business which has been growing fast since summer 2007. Lanzarote Retreats is the creation of Tila and Michelle Braddock who wanted to offer a rural type accommodation mainly in and around Arrieta in the North of the Island where they live and love.
Arrieta is a traditional Lanzarote fishing village, a hidden jewel on the island, mainly un-discovered by tourists. It boasts wonderful sea front restaurants, quaint historic buildings and has a great beach for families, with a beach bar, play park and it is often great for body boarding and surfing.
They strive to offer you a personal service when booking and during your holiday in Lanzarote, as Tila and Michelle live at Finca de Arrieta they are always at hand for any information or help during your stay. Tila and Michelle are helped by Sarah who is based in their Costa Teguise office.
What we love about our business
Tila and Michelle have lived on Lanzarote for over 20 years and have bought up their 4 children here and been involved in Island life. The Lonely Planet guide book for the Canary Islands (4th Edition page 133 and 139) interviewed Tila and Michelle regarding Lanzarote and they feature along with Finca De Arrieta in the "Local Voices"section. They clearly love the island and therefore sharing it with those visiting the island through their holiday rental business.
Year we started: 2007

“This was our first time to Lanzarote and we're really pleased to have spent it in the Beach House. Perfect location, literally down some steps (not steep) to the beach - where the wind surfing is amazing, supermarkets, cafe's and restaurants. The pool is very relaxing, the top deck is perfect for sunbathing and drying off after a lovely dip. The kitchen facilities are more than adequate. We decided to sleep in the twin room, next door to the lovely big bathroom, which has loads of wardrobe space and is very comfortable. We were more than happy here and would love to stay again. Michelle and staff are very accommodating and relaxed and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Would we recommend a stay here? Without hesitation :-)”

“We loved our stay at the Beach House in Lanzarote. The accommodation is fabulous, striking a good balance between comfort and elegance. It's tucked away in a small-scale development steps away from the beach, and we could have spent every day of our one-week stay hanging out on the roof terrace, at the beach or in the local cafes. We did a bit of that, but we also rented a car (parking no problem) and explored the island through some fantastic walks. Driving on Lanzarote is very pleasant but we never sat in the car for more than half an hour; short journeys took us to different parts of the island and we walked for hours (using 'Walk! Lanzarote as our guide). We also visited La Graciosa - bliss. Mid-February temperatures were balmy and we even swam in the sea. We returned feeling relaxed and recharged. Highly recommended”

“It was like stepping out of a stress bubble and going into a completely chilled out and happy space. We were met at the airport, not only by a smiling driver but also a bottle of bubbly cooling in the car ice box which certainly took the edge of the Ryan air misery.
The beach house was spotless, beautifully decorated, quiet and a stone throw from a lovely family resort where we could get absolutely everything we needed for our toddler. The little private pool was excellent. We had beenc concerned about the number of staris as our toddler is not quiet stair safe but actually it was fine. 100% recommend it. Having never done a resort type holiday before we thought Costa Teguise was really clean, friendly and ideal for little toddlers.”

“Beach House - We were looking for sun and relaxation, and we found it at the beach house in Costa teguise. This was our first time in Lanzarote and after the first two days of rain and doing the tourist thing, we discovered sun, surf and deserted beaches within 20 mins drive from the villa. A week of chilling in Lanzarote and a few days of sun has got me ready for the new year. We will defenatly be coming back, maybe try one of the yurts or the fishermans cottage next time.”
