Well equipped house within safe walking distance of several sandy beaches and woodlands.
Two bedrooms, one twin and one double. All beds have spring mattresses. Ceiling fans.
Bathroom: shower over full sized bath, w.c., handbasin,opening window, heaters.
Large lounge/living area, woodburning stove, radiators for winter use, ceiling fans, full cooker, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, washing machine, fridge freezer, iron, ironing board, TV and video player, plus satellite TV Numerous videos, books and some games available.
Terrace furniture and barbecue. Storage space for beach equipment, bikes etc. Outside tap. South facing terrace, sunny all year. Patio equipment supplied.

This popular holiday resort was once a small fishing port, but over the years it has grown alongside tourism. Fishing remains an important role for the locals, and the fish auctions around the harbour area are the best place to pick up the catch of the day.
L’Escala has some great beaches, a particular favourite being Cala Montgó, this is a small bay that is protected from the wind, making it ideal for relaxing in the summer sun.
All the beaches near the house are sandy and mostly Blue Flag. The Greco/Roman ruins of Ampurias are 500 metres away. The mediaeval hamlet of St. Marti is about 15 minutes walk and the fishing village of L'Escala is also about 15 minutes walk. There is also a little local train linking the two villages in high season. L'Escala has many free festivities throughout the year e.g. Carnval, Salt festival, Sardanas dancing, and is well known for its restaurants, many specialising in sea food. L'Escala anchovies are the best in Spain..
All facilities are available in L'Escala. Water sports, horseriding, cycle hire and golf are all available nearby. There is an indoor swimming pool in the village. The Pyrenees are one hour's drive away and Girona and Barcelona easily reached by car, bus or train. Dali Museum in Figueres, about 30 minutes drive. Wildlife bird sanctuary nearby. Well marked footpaths and cycle tracks start near the house. Many lovely mediaeval villages are within 30 minutes drive. Weekly market in L'Escala, Torroella, Palafrugell, Girona.
