About the property
Casa Antares is situated in the quiet residential area of the old town of Puerto del Carmen, within easy walking distance of the old fishing harbour and five minutesw to the nearest shops, bars and restaurants of Montaña Tropical.
This stylish villa, fully refurbished in 2008, has 2 bedrooms in the main house and 2 bedrooms in the adjoining annexe. The roof top terrace offers fabulous views over open countryside with mountain landscape and sea views. This cliff top location allows easy access to the Old Town harbour area of the main resort in one direction and Puerto Calero marina in the other.
The villa sleeps up to 8 people and comprises the main house which has a comfortable and bright lounge area with corner sofa, Sky satellite TV (limited channels) and DVD player. Dining area with dining table and chairs leading to the open plan fully fitted kitchen with small breakfast bar, stainless steel fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, ceramic touch control hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, iron and ironing board and built-in washing machine.
Master bedroom with double bed, air conditioningg / heating unit and en-suite marble bathroom with bath and overhead shower. A nicely furnished bedroom with twin beds air conditioning / heating unit, shower room.
There is an annexe positioned to the left of the main house, with a separate entrance, are a further 2 bedrooms, both with air conditioning / heating units, one with double bed and en-suite shower room; the other has twin beds and en-suite shower room. All bathrooms have hairdryer and magnifying mirror.
The villa has a built in safe in each bedroom and an alarm system.
There is a separate games room with billiard table and other games. Children's pool & 5 seater jacuzzi.
The villa is very private, with mature gardens and both covered and open terraces. The children´s pool forms part of the main pool to the front of the villa. The built in BBQ, with outside seating area, is situated to the rear of the villa together with the 4 seat jacuzzi.
The main swimming pool (6m x 4m x 1.40/1.50m deep) has steps and a handrail down into it and is set in mature gardens to the front of the villa with open and shady terraces, patio furniture and sun loungers and can be illuminated at night. There is solar and electric (during the winter months Nov/April inclusive - other times of year £75 extra per week)
There is gated off road parking. Children under 2 are free. A cot and highchair can be provided at an extra cost.

About Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote
About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.
For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.
