About Casa Jemma

Casa Jemma is a brand new (July 2008), modern and beautifully furnished villa in a coastal setting on the popular Playa Golf development at Cabo Roig on the Costa Blanca.

The villa is in a quiet residential area on Playa Golf, but still benefits from having shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and other amenities including a children’s play area within a 5-min walk. The villa overlooks the communal pool and there are views out to sea as far as La Manga from the rooftop solarium which benefits from all day sunshine.

The downstairs area is laid out in an open-plan style incorporating the comfortable and stylishly furnished lounge dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Satellite TV is provided with many British TV channels (BBC, ITV, C4, E4, CBBC & CITV), as well as various movie, sport & music channels.

For your comfort there is air conditioning downstairs and in the upstairs bedrooms (essential in the summer)!

There is a twin bedroom downstairs plus a shower room and toilet. Upstairs there is another twin bedroom, plus a large double bedroom with a balcony at the front of the villa. There is also a large family sized bathroom which has a power shower over the bath, incorporating 6 body shower jets as well as a separate hand-held power shower.

Off-road parking is provided at the side of the villa and there is also a patio area to the front – a lovely place to start the day with breakfast!

We believe that Casa Jemma is the perfect villa for you to have a wonderful holiday on the beautiful Costa Blanca.

Owner's Tips

The villa is approximately 20-30mins from Murcia (San Javier) airport and 45mins from Alicante airport .

Casa Jemma is a superbly located villa with beautiful Blue Flag beaches, outstanding golf courses and many bars and restaurants (including the “Cabo Roig strip” and the popular Villamartin Plaza), most of which provide nightly entertainment, all within walking distance or just a short drive away.

Rarely seen in UK travel brochures, this is an area of Spain frequented by all nationalities. In particular, the Spanish themselves take their holidays along this coastline.

Golf courses on the doorstep! There are 2 golf courses within a 5 minute drive at Las Ramblas and Campoamor (and another state of the art course planned for 2009 at Las Colinas de Campoamor). A further course at Villamartin is within a 10 minute drive. There are more than a dozen other courses within a 30 - 40 minute drive of Casa Jemma including courses at La Manga.

The two salt lakes of Torrevieja and La Mata and the surrounding areas are now a protected Natural Park. The La Mata salt lake was declared an important area for birdlife in 1989 and is home to a large population of Flamingoes. The whole area was declared a Natural Park in 1996. Many people visit the Nature Reserve to take mud baths at the designated mud-bathing areas, recommended for their healing properties.

The temperature and salt concentration in the air provides a very healthy climate which has been recommended by health personnel all over the world. This climate is particularly beneficial for people suffering with arthritis and/or rheumatism.

This area has an average of 320 sunny days a year with long hot summers and mild winters, making it the perfect place to visit in winter as well as the summer months to enjoy the sun or for a golfing break.

Within a short walk/drive from the villa are a huge variety of bars and restaurants. Also, there are many amenities close by including Go-Karts, Water Parks, Safari Parks, Bowling, Crazy Golf, etc.

If you prefer to take it slow, or need a break from the beach, there are a number of cities within a short drive which are well worth exploring. We particularly recommend Elche with its beautiful palm tree parks and historical buildings. Or you could grab a bargain at one of the many local markets.

About us
Hi, I'm Anne. Having previously worked as a Personnel Officer, I gave up work when I had my 2nd child and am now a full time Mom. I live with my husband and 2 children in the West Midlands.

What we love about our property
We love Casa Jemma because it's like a home from home for us. It's close enough for us to get to wherever we want to (eg., beach, bars, restaurants, water park), yet is on a very quiet and peaceful complex. Every time we go there, we always discover something new!

“The property would benefit from having all the channels it advertised on TV - i.e has about 30 BBC 1 channels for instance showing same thing and dodgy reception so teenage son not happy.

Husband was disappointed that it had no BBQ and my only complaint was the damp smell that is presumably down to fact that it hadn't been used in a while. I would have thought the "agent" we met and paid a late arrival fee (after 9pm),of £25 euro would have at least aired the property as part of that and prior to our arrival!

However, overall the house is in good order with everything else you need including AC. Location is very quiet so wouldn't suit anyone who likes to sit out late talking or listening to music!”

Owner's response: The problem with the TV was down to a temporary problem with the connection that has now been sorted. Had guests made agents aware of this while they were there it could have been sorted out during their holiday. With regard to the BBQ, we have never advertised that there is one available as there isn't. Guests have always purchased portable ones to use in the past. However, we are happy to make enquiries into costs of purchased a permanent BBQ and if one is made available we will update our advert to reflect this.
Following discussions with our agents we were told that the "damp" smell was due to the cleaner accidentally leaving a wet mop in the kitchen and they have apologised for this.
The location is in a quiet area but we don't believe that that would stop guests sitting outside late talking or listening to music - we do on our visits.
We do feel that some of the above comments are just personal opinions by this particular guest. Those issues that are relevant, eg., tv and "damp" smell have been dealt with.
