Villa Melissa is located near Sitges on the Costa Dorada. It is located next door to Villa Imke (also on this website) and is a similar villa with the addition of a self contained studio apartment in the basement of the main house. This studio is included in the rental of the property and is ideal for teenagers or grandparents who like a bit of “quiet time” away from the rest of the family.
The villa is 10 minutes inland from Sitges which is an absolutely beautiful small coastal town about 40 kilometers south west of the city of Barcelona. It is also about 10 minutes drive from Villanova which is an ideal family resort.
Villa Melissa is located in a gated community on the edge of the urbanisation Can Roca, in a lovely secluded forest location, 10 minutes inland from Sitges and Villanova, both of which have sandy beaches. Supermarkets, restaurants, bars and shops can all be found in Sitges and Villanova, but there is also a bar/restaurant within 2 mins walk of the villa where you can not only eat well, but also buy essential food items.
Villa Melissa has a private swimming pool 4 X 7 mtrs set in a lovely garden with far reaching mountain views. The swimming pool is surrounded by decking and this lower garden area is completely separated by wooden fencing with gates making it very safe for keeping small children secure when adults are not supervising or present in the pool area. There is a shallow end in the pool with a depth of 1 metre falling to 2 metres in the deep end.
The garden is in total 450 sq metres. It has well maintained mature trees and plants and is terraced using walls made of the natural local rock. The lower level is the pool and decking with steps either side leading up to the pergola which has 2 large terraces enclosed with wooden fences and gates. On this level is a children's wooden enclosed sand pit and from this level there are tiled terraces, the terrace nearest the pergola has a large outdoor chess area, see photo with potted plants on either side of the house. From the back garage door the terraces on this side are used as a space for drying clothes.
The villa sleeps 10/11 people. It 2 doubles ,a twin and the master bedroom has en-suite facilities. The 2 doubles + the twin have a large terrace overlooking the garden + the master bedroom has it's own private terrace /solarium. Further sleeping accommodation is provided in a self contained studio for up to 3 extra people, leading off the lower terrace. This studio has its own kitchen and shower room and is let as part of the villa.
The villa itself has a big open plan living/dining room with large flatscreen Sky TV, DVD and hi-fi. Another bonus is that there is wi-fi internet access for our clients. The kitchen is well equipped and has electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier.
Outside the living room is a covered terrace for al fresco dining. There are further sun terraces all with magnificent views well equipped with plenty of patio furniture and a barbeque.
Villa Melissa is perfect for larger groups requiring somewhere private and secluded. A car is required due to the location of the property: there is off road private parking. The owner’s representative who lives locally will meet our clients on arrival to show them round the villa and ensure that they have everything to enjoy a perfect holiday.

If you can tear yourselves away from this lovely villa Sitges is best known for its nightspots, fantastic restaurants, great shops and historical sites. It has for decades been a popular haunt for artists and actors and those that like the finer things in life. The town is very unspoilt and still has cobbled streets and regular local festivals. It is renowned worldwide for its film festival held at the end of the summer each year.
Villanova which is the other local resort has a lovely sandy beach and we would recommend our clients to use this resort if they fancy a day on the beach.
Other interesting local sites include the Roman city of Tarragona and the famous monastery at Montserrat – both well within the hour by car.
