About the property

Villa San Rafael is a substantial (350 square metres) country house set in large gardens of one-third of an acre near to the mediaeval town of Xativa, 40 minutes drive inland of the coast at Gandia.

The property opens into an impressive hallway with staircase leading to the upper hallway on the first floor with 4 bedrooms and family bathroom leading off. The upper hallway opens on to a large terraced area overlooking the gardens and pool at the front of the house. The ground floor consists of a cloakroom, high specification contemporary kitchen, utility room, dining room and sitting room. The ground floor hallway has panelled doors opening on to a rather grand covered terrace - an ideal place for dining al fresco. The gardens are walled and gated with a large 10 x 5 metres pool and children's play area.

A 1 bedroom chalet in the grounds is available for rental also.

Villa San Rafael is situated in an area known as Bixquert, a beautiful and quiet area surrounded by mountains, which is 2 kilometres outside of the mediaeval town of Xativa. Xativa is an elegant town with an old quarter, boulevards and fountains, a good choice of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. The historic castle built along a mountain ridge is a "must see". Beaches at Tavernes and Gandia are 40 minutes by car and are superb - sandy, clean and stretch for miles. The more touristy resorts of Denia and Javea are a further 20 minutes drive south of Gandia.

Bedroom 1 has a with king size bed, ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. Bedroom 4 with twin beds. Chalet bedroom 1 with double bed. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes/storage. Family bathroom on the first floor with small bath, shower over, wc, handbasin. Bathroom 2 ensuite to bedroom 1, with full bath, shower over, wc, handbasin. Chalet bathroom with full bath, shower over, wc, handbasin. All the bathrooms are spacious.

High-specification contemporary kitchen with hob/oven, dishwasher, large fridge freezer. Adjacent utility room with washing machine. Door to the front terrace, door to the brick-built BBQ area, separate doorways to dining room and sitting room.

The dining room has dining table and chairs for 8 and the sitting room has comfortable sofa and chairs seating 8 persons. Satellite TV showing UK terrestrial channels.

The attractive mature gardens are walled and gated and totally private. The pool is large (10 x 5 metres) and is fenced and gated for child safety. There is a children's play area on a lower terrace in front of the house and plenty of room for children to play on the grassed areas.

The chalet in the grounds of Villa San Rafael is available as an additional rental option only for guests booking the main house. The chalet has a bedroom with double bed, sitting room with satellite TV with UK channels and bathroom with bath, shower over, wc, handbasin.

There is a 25% under occupancy discount off all weekly rates for use of 1 or 2 bedrooms (4 persons maximum) - only in May, June and September.

The property is cleaned prior to your arrival and quality towels and linen are included. Linen/towel change after 7 nights stay for bookings of 2 weeks plus.

A cot and cot linen and high chair/booster seat can be provided upon request.

A member of our team will meet you on arrival and show you around the property, ensuring you are familiar with the local area and can recommend places to eat, shop, visit.

£150 security damages deposit refundable within 10 days of your departure.

We will be flexible and offer earlier check-in times wherever possible.

Owner's Tips...

The nearest restaurant and bar is at San Patricio Tennis Club, a few minutes by car. The nearest shops, large choice of bars and restaurants, supermarkets, banks are in Xativa, 5 minutes by car.

We think this imposing property is a rare find for holiday rental and is superbly presented and most attractively furnished. The location is ideal for a special holiday in fabulous surroundings and with every possible amenity at hand.

About us

I started my business Find The Real Spain from the successful and extremely enjoyable experience of renting my own property, La Terraza, in the Jalon Valley. Friends and neighbours here in Spain approached me to rent their properties for them and that´s how the business started! I have a portfolio of around 30 properties for holiday rental - individual, high-quality and all with private pools, in the areas of the Jalon Valley, inland Costa Blanca and inland Costa del Azahar (between Alicante and Valencia).

What we love about our business

I´ve always enjoyed travel, homes, gardens and sunshine so I guess this is the ultimate job for me! We offer a very "hands on" approach to our guests ensuring that they are met on arrival, shown around their holiday property, answer any questions they may have on arrival and we are always at the end of a phone for support if required during their stay (the holiday property information folder is comprehensive but there is always further information that can be helpful depending on the guests´ particular interests).

“The villa is fantastic!

Extremely spacious, luxurious surroundings, completely private and quiet, and with lots for the kids to do (play area, swings etc as well as the pool)

Excellent kitchen and living spaces, very much feels like a house the owner has devloped to live in rather than as a rental, so very well equipt. Efficient aircon, lovely terraces and loads of sunbathing room.

Surprisingly deep pool!

Xativa is an excellent town only 5 mins by car away, with everything you need, and only 45 mins from Valencia airport.

Highly recommend the 1 hour drive down to calpe for the best beach resort on the costas”
