This beautiful 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom detached villa is superbly located in a very sought after, quiet residential area; just a short walk to bars,restaurants,Saturday street market and a large commercial pool facility run by an Irish family. There is no private or communal pool available;the sea/beaches are only 1.5 kms away. The villa has a paved area for off street parking and a gravelled garden with mature plants. To the front there is a large terrace; the ideal place to dine al fresco and/or enjoy sun-downers. From the moment you arrive you will feel welcome here; we provide a welcome supply of tea, coffee, sugar, fresh milk, bottled water and something a little stronger - cava, red or white wine or beer.
Access to the property is through patio doors that lead from the terrace into the lounge. The villa faces east so sun is enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. The bright lounge has a dining area and windows at both ends which allows a lovely breeze to flow through the home. There is a TV purely for watching DVD's - there are no channels to watch and a music centre with CD player.
The kitchen is equipped with granite work tops, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave with grill and washing machine. There is an iron and ironing board. For outside catering there is a portable small, circular coal BBQ.
Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms separated by the bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed and air conditioning, the twin has two single beds and a ceiling fan, for comfort during the warm summer nights. Both have floor to ceiling wardrobes. The third bedroom is separate to the main accommodation, accessible via exterior stairs, where you will also find a large sun terrace. It has a comfortable sofa bed, so would be ideal for a fifth person.
On the solarium there are 2 sun loungers, table and chairs so you can "chill out" in the beautiful sunshine that can be enjoyed all day from here.

On a Saturday morning you can walk to and enjoy the street market, one of the largest in the area. The beautiful white sandy beaches are close by, a 15/20 minute walk or short car ride; choose from 2 at Playa Flamenca, La Zenia or Cabo Roig. Murcia airport is 30 minutes and Alicante is 45 minutes; a taxi will cost 55 - 70 Euros, depending on airport, number of passengers/cases and time of day.
There are plenty of bars/restaurants of international cuisine in the commercial areas within walking distance.
The beaches are within walking distance and often offer evening entertainment.
Torrevieja centre is a 10 minute drive. The Mar Menor is a 20 minute drive; you can take advantage of free therapeutic mud bathing here.
The Saturday street market is one of the largest in the area and here you can find great bargains.
If golf is your passion then this area will be paradise for you. It has become the golfing capital of Europe; Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin are only 10 - 15 minutes drive from the villa and there are numerous other championship courses within 30 - 45 minutes. We are keen golfers so would be delighted to offer advice on special offers available and course conditions.
About us
I was born in Middlesbrough, Cleveland in 1960 and lived all my childhood years in Guisborough. I joined the Royal Air Force in 1977 where I served as an Air Traffic Controller and very much enjoyed telling pilots where to go! Unfortunately, I was never fortunate to serve overseas. It was my dream to retire young to somewhere affordable and sunny. My dream became reality in December 1999 when I emigrated to Spain. I literally swapped my stressful career for sunshine and golf, playing 3 times a week at Campoamor (it translates "camp of love"). This turned out to be true as it was here where I met my husband Michael. I love Spain, in particular this area, which I believe has the best beaches and golf (value for money). We are certainly blessed and thankful for our wonderful lifestyle.
What we love about our property
The property is located in a beautiful area of Spain and is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. It is the perfect place to chill out and offers something for everyone.The area is very peaceful and yet close to all amenities so a car is not absolutely essential. There are many restaurants just a short walk away and the beaches are beautiful - you can even fish from them if you wish. For children there is a water park close by in Torrevieja (open July - Sep). If you want to discover more about the area the cities of Alicante, Cartagena and Murcia are about one hours drive.
