About the property
Situated right on the beach at Mijas Costa on the Costa del Sol, Rocas del Mar has it all! The house is located on a small, private development and only a perfectly manicured lawn separates you from fabulous ocean views!
Just 25 mins from Malaga International airport, with 2 pools, a beach bar and tennis courts just steps away. The house is incredibly private as it is slightly elevated from the beach, making it ideal for a romantic getaway as you sip iced drinks on the patio and watch the boats bob past, but it is equally brilliant for a family holiday where the kids can play on the beach in front of the house, or stroll to one of the pools nearby.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 2 twins and two bathrooms, 1 en-suite over two floors. The interior has been tastefully furnished by the owners. The lounge comprises a luxurious L-shaped sofa to accommodate the largest of family gatherings but if there's just two of you, stretch out. UK satellite TV is available. The lounge also has a wood/coal burning fireplace but we suspect you won't need that! 2 sets of double patio doors lead outside, affording stunning views to the sea and allow the Andalucian light to flood in. Adjacent to the lounge is the open plan dining area which has a fabulous wooden rustic dining suite seating 6 people.
The lounge and dining areas lead into the well equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher. The washing machine is in the utility room. Spanish terracotta floor tiles are laid throughout the ground floor.
A twin bedroom located on the ground floor, complete with patio doors leading onto the lawn, fitted wardrobes and en-suite bathroom. On the first floor you will find a great double bedroom, again with fitted wardrobes, but even better, a door onto its own, very private sun-terrace!! And fabulous views to the sea. The third bedroom is a twin, again with great views and fitted wardrobes. The first floor has a modern bathroom with bath and a shower, basin, bidet and loo.
Outside the house has a great patio which features a barbeque and 6 seater patio set, perfect for al fresco dining. The owners have thoughtfully extended the patio area to an extended, tiled terrace for sunbeds.
The house benefits from the use of two communal pools. The nearest is great for children as there are gentle steps leading into the shallow end. The other pool, which is just 100m away, is slightly larger and also features a children's area. The friendly beach bar which serves drinks and meals, is a great place to come at any time of the day or evening.

About Mijas Costa, Costa del Sol
Not to be confused with Mijas the little village located inland on the Costa del Sol, Mijas Costa is on the coast. Many English people have moved to this area and there are many housing developments that reflect this. With this being the case holiday rentals are extremely popular. The Riviera del Sol Mijas Costa is a real winner with families.
The beach at La Cala is very safe and they offer many watersports including water-skiing and Jet Ski hire. This area is also famous for it’s golf courses, they are some of the best in the world and were designed by top players.
Owner's Tips...
El Oceano Beach Club is in walking distance and can be reached on foot along the beach. They do a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to dress up.
Max Beach - another great place to dine for either lunch or dinner. Just a 5 minute walk along the beach to the right of the house.
Just a 5 minute stroll along the beach in either direction takes you to a great choice of beachside restaurants.
No less than an amazing 18 golf courses within 30 mins drive and the closed is just 5 mins away!
Home to the rich and famous, Puerto Banus, with its fabulous marina and designer shops, is just 25 mins away by car.
Marbella with its rich tapestry of culture, restaurants and shopping, is even closer and is 20 mins from the house.
Supermarkets and banks are just a 5 minute walk away.

Torremolinos in the Los Pinares area, by the crocodile park. Sabinillas market and car boot sale, alongside the N340 dual carriageway. Sotogrande the new marina.
