This homely apartment is superbly located only 400 metres from the sea in a residential area very popular with the Spanish community. Car hire is not essential. It is a 30 - 40 minute drive from the airports of Alicante and Murcia. A taxi will cost 55 - 70 Euros each way, depending on the time,number of passengers/cases and airport. From the moment you arrive you will feel at home here; we provide "welcome" supplies of tea/coffee/sugar/fresh milk/bottled water plus something a bit stronger - cava, red wine or beer. The sea is only 400metres away and the white sandy beaches are just a short stroll along the seafront, as are restaurants, bars, a large supermarket, internet cafe, chemist,shops and bus stop. Torrevieja Marina is a short drive, bus ride or maximum 30 minute stroll along the sea front where you will pass many more restaurants and shops.
The apartment is on the first floor of a three storey building, so only a few steps to climb.
To the front is a dining room which overlooks a park area. The lounge is cosy with an American style kitchen which is equipped with microwave/grill, 4 ring electric hob, large slow cooker, fridge/ freezer and washing machine. There is a TV with satellite box to watch all your favourite English programmes (70) including: BBC1/2/3,ITV1/2/3/4, Channel 4/5, childrens channels,Sky/BBC news, several movies, Euro Sport 1/2 and some Spanish channels. There are also numerous radio channels incl BBC R1/2 etc.
Both bedrooms are to the rear so very peaceful; the master has a king size bed and fitted wardrobe with wooden shutters that open to the morning sun and communal pool/garden area. There is a door that opens to a small terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee or midnight caps. The second bedroom has twin beds, dressing table and small standing wardrobe, with a door opening to the small terrace area.
For the warm summer nights there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the lounge.

Torrevieja is located south of Alicante, and it boasts lots of beaches, a natural park and salt lakes, if you´re lucky you may even see a passing flamingo! A popular place to stay, Torrevieja caters well for tourism, with plenty of activities on offer by day or night. Holiday villas in Torrevieja are widely available for those looking a place in the sun.
Visitor numbers increase greatly during the summer months of July and August, and Easter is another popular time, it’s no wonder the weather in Torrevieja is fantastic! There is a good selection of restaurants and shops galore, Torrevieja is the ideal choice for a fun-packed holiday in the sun.
Torrevieja centre is only a 30 minute stroll or you can catch a bus from the top of the road. Here you will find cosmopolitan nightlife, restaurants, fiestas, street market on Friday morning and a fun fair around the Marina during May - August. There is an esplanade and long pier to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the coastline, away from the hustle and bustle.
For the more energetic, all watersports are available including SCUBA.
If golf is your passion then this area is truly paradise - 5 championship courses only 15 minutes drive away: La Finca, Quesada, Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villa Martin. There are another 15 within 25-45 minutes, including the popular Lo Romero, Roda, La Serena and 5 Polaris Jack Nicklaus trail courses. Prices from 42 €uros. We are keen golfers and can offer assistance regarding golf, course conditions and special offers available during your visit.
Recommended many local (walk to) typically Spanish restaurants where menu del dia (menu of the day) a 4 course meal with wine costs 10€uros - not to be missed!
I was born in Middlesbrough, Cleveland in 1960 and lived all my childhood years in Guisborough. I joined the Royal Air Force in 1977 where I served as an Air Traffic Controller and very much enjoyed telling pilots where to go! Unfortunately, I was never fortunate to serve overseas. It was my dream to retire young to somewhere affordable and sunny. My dream became reality in December 1999 when I emigrated to Spain. I literally swapped my stressful career for sunshine and golf, playing 3 times a week at Campoamor (it translates "camp of love"). This turned out to be true as it was here where I met my husband Michael. I love Spain, in particular this area, which I believe has the best beaches and golf (value for money). We are certainly blessed and thankful for our wonderful lifestyle.
The property is located in a beautiful area of Spain and is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. It is the perfect place to chill out and offers something for everyone.The area is very peaceful and yet close to all amenities so a car is not absolutely essential. There are many restaurants just a short walk away and the beaches are beautiful - you can even fish from them if you wish. For children there is a water park close by in Torrevieja (open July - Sep). If you want to discover more about the area the cities of Alicante, Cartagena and Murcia are about one hours drive.

“We found the apartment to be exactly as shown on the pictures, Theres everything you need there supplied i.e coffee, tea, sugar, water, bread, butter even cleaning supplies, washing machine, ironing eqipment etc, which was really helpfull especially as we had a late flight and the shops were closed. Lesley was really helpfull with information as to were everything was and places that might be of interest, there was also a lot of leaflets in the apartment which were really helpfull too. The beach is beautifull and the water was really warm considering it was october, the weather was really warm too warm enough to sunbathe on the beach. Theres lots of shops and markets to visit and lots of places to eat out really cheap. As we went out of season it was really quiet (what we wanted) so we can,t say what its like in the summer,also we did,t have any children,so we did,nt look for childrens stuff, but we do recomend it.”

“I stayed here 19 March-26 March 2009 with my daughter. We were very happy with the apartment and found it to be very clean and well presented. It had everything we wanted and it was only a short stroll to the supermarket and restaurants. We found the living room to be very big and comfortable seating. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the dining area of the lounge and the views over the park and towards the mountains. The beds were very comfy and it was good to sit on the small terrace. The swimming pool looked inviting but it was early in the season and not yet open.
We were visiting friends and so ate at the restaurants just a few minutes walk next to the supermarket. We took the local bus near to the supermarket to town and walked back. All in all a good holiday and would certainly recommend this lovely apartment. It was quiet and well secure.”
