Villa de Mil Veranos is set in a tranquil location on a hillside amongst the olive groves, just a short drive from the lake and village of Iznajar. Centrally located for touring the local villages of Archidona, Antequera, Rute, Lucerna and cities; Malaga, Cordoba,Granada and Seville.

The villa comprises of three double bedrooms, one with king size bed, two with a pair of full size single beds, the other two bedrooms with double beds and on suite bathrooms are in the cottage across the courtyard.
There is a variety of storage in each room- wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside tables. The main house has a bathroom equipped with washbasin, vanity unit, hair-dryer, WC and bath with shower over.

Each property has fitted kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine. There are the usual small appliances, ample crockery and utensils. Dining area has table with seating for six and four in the cottage

Both have a lounge with two sofas’, satellite TV, DVD player, board games magazines, books. both have gated terrace, secure for young children, there are sun loungers, garden furniture for alfresco eating and a brick built BBQ.

A path leads down to the pool (8m x 4m x 1.4m) and gated terrace with sunbeds, shower and underwater lighting. There is an additional pebbled area with natural shade afforded by fruit trees and pergolas to shelter from the mid day sun.

This property is ideal for larger families who still want some private space to enjoy a beautiful, peaceful location.


Rental is inclusive of gas and electric. Clean linen and towels provided. Guests are requested to provide their own towels to use at the pool. On two week holidays a change of linen and cleaning service will be completed at the end of the first week.

Welcome pack on arrival includes bread, butter, milk, tea coffee, cheese, preserve, cordial and wine.

Meet & greet service offered at no extra cost.

The pool lady (Kathy) is English, calls twice a week to clean the pool, she also looks after general maintenance. Kath has lived in the area for 5 years and has very good knowledge of the area may well be helpful.

Balance payable eight weeks prior to commencement of your holiday. Prices include gas and electric. Logs in colder months. No bond charges.

A surcharge of £100 per week will be made if clients want the use of both property's when there are less than 4 guests booking for the same week.

Owner's Tips

Malaga & Granada Airports are a 1 hour drive, the road network is good and the majority of the drive is on motorway or dual carriageway. Car hire essential.

Just a 10 minute drive brings you to the village of Iznajar with its 8th century Moorish castle, church from the 16th century and spectacular views over the 32klm long lake. The village, although still retaining its traditional Spanish atmosphere, provides banks, ATM machines, a hospital, post office, mini supermarkets, small friendly family shops, butchers, greengrocers, chemists and internet café, Should you need to take a break from shopping or sight-seeing, there are a number of cafes, traditional tapas bars and restaurants. The Lake has a man made sandy beach, where you can swim, fish or hire a canoe and there is a very good bar restaurant, (open only in summer).

Other local activities include horse riding, walking, bird watching, cycling and tennis. There are also plenty of people offering yoga, massage etc.

Rute: a further ten minutes up the road has a great supermarket, “Mercadona, the famous Anis museum, a chocolate factory and a Flamenco bar.

Antequera: boasts a number of supermarkets, large shopping area with boutiques, numerous bars and restaurants, plus La Vironique shopping mall with Eroski hypermarket, food
hall and cinema. In the town there is a bull ring with restaurant. These aren’t the only attractions -there is an old alcazaba at the top of the town, El Torre del Homenaje, with terrific views.

Markets:- there are weekly markets in most of the towns and villages.

Good selection of local restaurants and bars in the surrounding area a number on the A33 maximum of 20 minutes drive, all have menu in English if required:- El Charcon (resembles a castle), Bar Rossi, Hotel Caserio de Iznajar by the lake, La paloma, Le Maison (by station Salinas) with the up market option Barclo La Bobadilla Hotel. A 20 minute drive to the Spectacular Antequera18 hole Golf Course, surrounded by the beautiful natural park: EL TORCAL: These are mountains which were under the sea water, millions of years ago. The length of the course is over 6000 meters and its olive trees, oak trees and natural herb plants, add to the natural environment. Players will find a demanding golf course presenting to them a variety of interesting golf shots with different options to play every hole according to your level of golf.

The Ski resort of Sierra Nevada lies approx. 1 1/2 hours drive to the east, near Granada. Excellent facilities cater for all abilities, offering hire of all skiing equipment, including a dedicated snow-board area. Husky dog sledge rides and snow bikes are for hire. The resort is also a great favourite for walkers in winter and summer.

Sightseeing. Granada 1 hour drive. The Alhambra: Palace,Granada has its usual quota of churches, museums etc. typical for a southern European city. However, Granada has the Alhambra which is considered by some to be one of the 10 wonders of the world. A massive castle, constructed over many centuries. It consists of gardens, fortifications and sumptuous palaces. Nowadays it receives 8000 visitors per day. You will need to book in advance.

The Albaicín is the old Arabic quarter located on the hill opposite the Alhambra. It is characterised by cobble stoned streets with white washed houses. At every turn of the head there is an attractive view, almost always involving glimpses of the Alhambra. There are many squares with terrazzos and places to laze about and have a bite to eat. A painter's paradise.

Sacromonte, Flamenco and the Gypsies:
The gypsies arrived about 600 years ago and one of the places where they congregated was in the caves of the Sacromonte where they created flamenco. Guides to Granada will tell you that the Sacromonte is a tourist trap. Maybe that was true a few years ago but nowadays it's not too bad. Even Bill Clinton went to one when he came. The best one nowadays is at the Museo.

Cordoba 1 Hour drive
Plaza Corredera , This is the place to go in Summer by night. You can find many bars and terraces here. In winter you should go to the Tendillas square if you’re looking for "Fiesta".

Mosque/Cathedral . The "Mezquita de Cordoba" was begun in 784 by Abd al-Rahman I, over the old Christian basilica of San Vicente. In the 10th century, after several extensions, it became the largest mosque in the world. One of the most impressive views is the old chapel of Villaviciosa Dome.
