This luxury villa sleeps up to 6 guests and has been tastefully furnished with influences from Morocco and Indonesia giving it an luxurious, exotic feel. It is situated in a fabulous location overlooking the beach, just a two minute walk to the sea in the north of the island.

The villa is situated in lovely mature gardens, with a terrace with sun loungers, BBQ, and outdoor thatch covered 'breeze house' dining area with sea views. There is a solar powered shared gated pool area which has the chill out area and entertaining-suite consisting of a 10 meter lap pool with jet pool, covered Polynesian style day bed, gas BBQ, covered 2nd Kitchen, dining table for 8 people, music system, WIFI access, a guest toilet with shower and Moroccan style seating. This area is also set with mature gardens, sun loungers, panoramic sea and mountain views and the 3rd bathroom.

The villa has been restored to a very high standard using local stone and wood for its floors and walls. It is set on one level and is very spacious being 200 square metres in size and due to its solid stone walls, it keeps cool in summer and warm during winter. The villa has a bespoke hard wood/granite fully fitted kitchen with grill, 4-ring stove, fridge/freezer, oven, toaster and washing machine. There is also a granite toped breakfast bar with views from the kitchen over to the gardens. The spacious lounge has hard wood floors and double patio doors leading outside. The lounge has features including an Indonesian day bed and columns, Moroccan coffee table and metal antique internal window. This room also has a comfy double sofa bed for extra guests.

Through the large hall way, you can access the master bedroom which boasts fantastic mountain views, hard wood floors, antique furniture and has a large 160 double bed, other features include large built-in wardrobe and en-suite Bathroom with Jet bath and walk in shower. Its second shower room has walk in shower and both bathroom are fitted with Italian designed glass/steel sinks and Moroccan mirrors.

The villas second bedroom has 2 single beds, wooden floors and hand painted Chinese furniture. There is also a more accommodation on site if you require more sleeping space.

Within the grounds of 30,000 square metres, guests will find a number of friendly farm animals, such as free range hens that deliver fresh eggs for breakfast every morning and the on-site donkey, who happily provides rides for children. There are mature gardens which include fruit trees & bushes such as Mango, Banana, Guava & Lime. For our younger visitors there is a play park, sunken trampoline, wooden "pirate" boat and ping-pong table all on site to keep them entertained.

It is worth noting this Eco Villa has impeccable green credentials, efficiently powered with solar panels and 2 wind turbines a fantastic example of renewable energy using the largest and most up to date system in Lanzarote.

Finally you have the added bonus of the owners living on site, they are at hand to offer a wealth of local information and can organize any trips/sports required.

A basic welcome pack is included complete with a bottle of wine, water, crisps, milk, tea and coffee. WiFi connection is available within the Eco Retreat.

Please note that prices shown are for up to 4 guests this includes linen, towels and a welcome pack. For 5 or more people charges are an extra £60 per person per week.

The Yurt or Studio can be rented seperately or in conjunction with the main villa, please enquire for prices.

The pool and chill out area are services the 4 dwellings on the retreat. The area consists of the solar heated pool with jet pool, covered Polynesian style day bed, gas BBQ, covered 2nd Kitchen, dining table for 8 people, music system and Moroccan style seating. This area is also set with mature gardens, sun loungers, panoramic sea and mountain views and the 3rd bathroom.

Owner's Tips

Arrieta village is within walking distance and has the beauty of being a Canarian Fishing Village along with all amenities needed, ie. restaurants, supermarkets, bakers, sea front tapas bars etc. A wonderful place to holiday and experience the true Lanzarote life style.

The sandy beach La Garita at Arrieta is only a 5 - 10 minute walk from the villa, a great spot for surfing & has a childrens play park, fantastic beach bar, toilets & showers.

The island's 18 hole golf course situated in Costa Teguise only a 15 minute drive, it is set at the foot of an old volcano, surrounded by 3000 palms, cactus and beautiful views to the sea. Group or individual classes are available from one of the two golf professionals.

This northen area of Lanzarote is also fantastic for walking and mountain biking. There are some great tracks from the estate for mountain biking, this is a quiet part of the island and there is plenty to explore and discover. We can arrange bike hire for you.
Other local activities include surfing, swimming, tennis, sailing, fishing, horse riding and wind-surfing. Or maybe you just want to relax and read a good book next to the pool in peaceful surroundings.

Lanzarote Retreats.com is a family run business which has been growing fast since summer 2007. Lanzarote Retreats is the creation of Tila and Michelle Braddock who wanted to offer a rural type accommodation mainly in and around Arrieta in the North of the Island where they live and love.

Arrieta is a traditional Lanzarote fishing village, a hidden jewel on the island, mainly un-discovered by tourists. It boasts wonderful sea front restaurants, quaint historic buildings and has a great beach for families, with a beach bar, play park and it is often great for body boarding and surfing.

They strive to offer you a personal service when booking and during your holiday in Lanzarote, as Tila and Michelle live at Finca de Arrieta they are always at hand for any information or help during your stay. Tila and Michelle are helped by Sarah who is based in their Costa Teguise office.

Tila and Michelle have lived on Lanzarote for over 20 years and have bought up their 4 children here and been involved in Island life. The Lonely Planet guide book for the Canary Islands (4th Edition page 133 and 139) interviewed Tila and Michelle regarding Lanzarote and they feature along with Finca De Arrieta in the "Local Voices"section. They clearly love the island and therefore sharing it with those visiting the island through their holiday rental business.
