About the property

El Padron is a large country house with private pool set in the lovely countryside of the Axarquia, in the hills above Lake Viñuela. It was build 10 years ago as a home and is fully equipped and laid out with an abundance of terraces and seating areas, sunny and covered, to make the most of every hour of the day. It is perfect for people who like space and a homely atmosphere.

N.B. care should be taken with children as there are items of personal value in the house; also there are low walls and drops around the pool and terracing.

The house is situated at the end of an unmade road of some 3 kilometres which, though sometimes bumpy in parts, is accessible in a normal car.

There is an open plan kitchen/dining room, 2 sitting rooms, a large double bedroom downstairs with en-suite bathroom, a double room with en-suite shower room, and 2 further double rooms and a shower room. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans. Off two of the upstairs bedrooms is a large terrace with views over the valley towards the spectacular sunsets over the village of Comares.

The private pool is an irregular shaped - 9m x 3.5m at its widest point, with a depth of 1.8m throughout and is filtered and cleaned regularily.

Owner's Tips...

El Padron is ideally situated for those who wish to visit the major cities of Andalucia - Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Seville. It is within easy reach of the coast and beaches of the Mediterranean and local golf courses. Other activities available in the area include water sports, horse-riding, quad-biking, walking and bird-watching. There are various restaurants within a 15 minute drive of the house, ranging from traditional Spanish to Indian. On the coast there is a wide range of fish restaurants.
