About the property

Where's that "Getaway from it all" you promised yourself incorporating a healthy dash of Irish hospitality?..."Cead Mile Failte". Only last 2 weeks in September free at the moment! The early bird got that worm! Try for next year as there are now bookings for that too. Don't be disappointed!

Villa Melrose is a beautifully presented private two bedroom apartment villa, located just minutes from the nearest shops, family-friendly beaches and excellent restaurants. Ideal for a family get away or even for that always-promised romantic getaway!

Your own large remote control gated entrance leads from a private parking area, up through a private garden to the covered entrance which is recessed to appreciate some welcome shade. With your own private terrace in front making it convenient to enjoy a delicious barbeque or just to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Through the villa entrance you are presented with a sitting area equipped with wide screen television, iPod connection, satellite system (with UK-based channels) and a DVD player supplied with modern DVDs for your enjoyment. The fantastic Apple TV entertainment system is available for you, which gives you access to hundreds of videos, tv shows and music. If you are lucky enough to own an iPhone or iPod Touch, you can wirelessly connect it to the internal network and play any one of the films or listen to the music anywhere around the villa. There is also a drinks cabinet with a selection of wines and spirits free for your enjoyment too. Through a connecting archway is a superbly equipped kitchen with an oven & hob, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, panini grill, toaster, hand blender, juicer, coffee maker, kettle, and a washing machine located in your own separate laundry room. All necessary essentials to make your holiday most enjoyable.

A short hallway interconnects two beautifully presented bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Both bedrooms have their own separate washing facilities and both bedrooms are finished to a very high standard with built in wardrobes. The property benefits from gas central heating, ceiling & mobile fans. For your safety and convenience, each bedroom has an electronic safe. All adults staying are supplied with bathrobes free of charge for the duration of your holiday with us.

Located on a separate raised terrace is a swimming pool, sun loungers and hot/cold showering faclilties. This terrace has spectacular views of the Mediterranean sea and surrounding hillsides which are dotted with the lights of other villas in the evening and has amazing views of ships sailing by on the sea making it a perfect setting for a glass or two of wine while relaxing and taking in the warmth of a beautiful evening.

The villa has lots of additional free extras that you simply would not expect to find, such as a picnic set, flasks, cool bag, sun brollies, beach and tennis rackets, outdoor chess and wind shields for wind protection when going to enjoy your time at the beach.

Each bedroom has its own TV with videos and DVD's. The villa is also supplied with free 3 megabyte WiFi Broadband and free calls to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia & Singapore. You don't even need your hairdryer or hair straighteners, as it's all provided! A barbeque and a full set of utensils are in place too. Everything to make your stay that bit more special.

A welcome pack is supplied free of charge, consisting of bread, butter, milk, wine, tea, sugar, orange juice, cereal and of course...something bubbly!!

If any persons staying have special dietary requirements, please declare this at time of booking so that the welcome pack can be tailor-made to suit. Eg...Soya Milk or brown bread.

For those with a young family there is a Mama's and Papa's high chair and travel cot, baby pool float, baby bath, wireless electric baby monitor and a toilet trainer, all free to use. For anybody with breathing difficulties, we also provide mobile air purifiers/ionisers for personal use in the bedrooms and you can ask for a choice of pillow too. If required, please ask for these at time of booking.

All costs include a bed linen change every 7 days and a final clean removing all rubbish.

Villa Melrose's location commands beautiful sea views from the pool area and panoramic vistas of the surrounding wooded hillsides and therefore it is so easy to relax in its quiet and peaceful surroundings. It truly is a home away from home and so is ideal for anyone wishing to get away from it all for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Former guests have stated that it is just like doing a house swap with someone as it feels like a home and not a sparce holiday accommodation.

For any "Honeymooners" wishing to book with us, we provide an extra special something as a surprise.

To save room/weight in your suitcase, we also supply Beach Towels for hire. Please request this at time of booking.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required upon booking and the balance will be due 8 weeks before arrival. Refundable breakage deposit of £200 is required, and will be refunded via cheque in the post to your nominated address within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

Please note there are no additional hidden costs incurred as items such as a high chair,travel cot, baby pool float, baby bath,wireless baby monitor and toilet trainer are all free of charge.

We reserve the right to make changes to the interior/exterior furnishings and also to any conditions and prices mentioned herein.

The only extra we charge for is 35GBP per week for the period from October to April for the gas central heating (if required).

About Moraira, Costa Blanca

An exclusive location with beautiful coastline and great facilities including shopping, sports, a castle and great restaurants. Antoniet's in the town is a family run concern, and has been since the 1960's, offering superb Spanish cuisine. Another well known fine restaurant offering mediterranean cuisine is Le Dauphin, in a stunning setting overlooking the bay of El Portet.

Being off the main coast road it doesn't suffer the crowding of some resorts - Moraira has a reputation for beautiful property and an air of exclusivity.

There is a wide selection of well priced properties in Moraira available for holiday lettings. For those wishing to explore the area, or drive to the numerous golf courses, car hire in Moraira is very reasonable.

Owner's Tips...

The local restaurants, La Tartana & Rondo's are great value, with good food and excellent service. And, what's even better it's only 5 minutes walk away! The villa is in an excellent position as it is in easy travelling distance of Benissa, Calpe, Denia, Altea & Benidorm. Moraira has one of the most excellent family-friendly beaches in the area and has according to the World Heath Organisation one of the most healthiest climates in the World.

MORAIRA
One of the loveliest towns on the Costa Blanca and still a thriving fishing port with traditions that have remained unchanged for hundreds of years. The fishermen go to sea in the early hours of the morning to catch the produce, which is sold later that day at the traditional fish market. This market has grown over the years and is now one of the most important in the region.

Another ancient trade is that of wine making; a lot of the land around Moraira is dedicated to the growing of the Muscatel grapes and many local vineyards produce excellent quality wine.

The town centre is an attractive blend of the old and the new with a wide selection of boutiques, shops, bars and some excellent restaurants offering a wide choice of Spanish and international cuisine.

Moraira's main beach, L'Ampolla, at the foot of the castle, is an ideal family beach with golden sand and excellent facilities while just 1.5 Kms away is El Portet. Surrounded by steep hills, this sheltered bay with its gently sloping beach is perfect for safe swimming.

One of Moraira's most important festivals is the Fiesta of the Moors and Christians, usually held in June. However, other towns in the area celebrate this festival at different times during the summer. Theatrically presented in impressive costumes, the townspeople are separated into Moorish and Christian groups to take part in marches and mock battles at various times and places throughout the town. The high point of this fantastic fiesta is the procession and firework display on the last day.

Moraira has a market day on Fridays, while Benissa and Calpe have their market days on Saturdays. Altea holds it market day on Tuesdays and the largest market is in Benidorm on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Nearby, are the larger towns of Javea, Denia, Benitachell and Benidorm, all well worth a visit and only minutes away by car. Benidorm has loads of Theme Parks that are all worth a visit.

SPORT
There is a lot of sporting activity to be enjoyed in and around Moraira including: Tennis, Watersports and a Waterpark, Horse Riding, Fishing, Go-Karting, Scuba-Diving, Cycling, Walking and of course - Golf.
Keen golfers will also be relieved to know that the Ifach 9 hole golf course is only a 10 minute walk away..
