About Villa Higueras
Our beautifully maintained spacious villa is situated 7 minute drive from Fuengirola and Mijas is approx 10 minutes. Nearby is El Coto (3 min drive) which offers 4 restaurants and bars, supermarket and chemist. The Myramar shopping mall is approximately 8 minutes drive and there are numerous shops and cinemas and restaurants inside it.
The villa is a 3 bedroom bungalow style villa. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The other spacious bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin share the other full bathroom. The villa has air conditioning and heating throughout. Two of the bedrooms have patio doors onto terrace and garden and pool.
The lounge is large with an open fireplace, satellite TV, stereo etc. There is a new flat screen television and there are two beige leather sofas. There are two sets of patio doors and there is an open plan dining area and spacious kitchen. The modern kitchen has a breakfast bar, electric oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is a utility room with washing machine.
The garden is private and faces south with BBQ area. The private pool is kidney shaped and there are sunloungers and terrace furniture.
There is wireless internet access installed into the villa for any guests who would like to bring their laptops, i phones or ipads with them on holiday to our villa.

About Fuengirola, Costa del Sol
Fuengirola is very well known for it’s 5 mile long beach and the wide range of leisurely activities on offer. Transport is also very good here, with train and bus links to many nearby towns. This is a popular choice for families as Fuengirola has lots to do, and it can keep even the most active child happy all day long. Unusually the local zoo stays open late at night during the summer months, allowing you to see the animals’ nocturnal activities.
There are a number of beaches to choose from, all of which have been recognised for their cleanliness. From the town you can see the Sohail Castle, which still has some of it’s original walls and towers. There is also an outside art gallery with murals by well-known artists.
Self catering holidays to Fuengirola are easy to find. There are many well priced rental villas and apartments available, but remember to book early as they sell quick in the summer months when Fuengirola property is in much demand.
Owner's Tips
Nearby there are a lot of excellent restaurants both in El Coto and Fuengirola. Approx 5 minutes drive there is the large hypermarket Euromarket. The villa is extremely well located but a car is advisable.

About us
My name is Linda Murphy and I live here in Spain with my husband and our two cats and one dog. We moved here in 2001 after selling our business in UK. We had a 17 bedroom hotel and after 14 years we decided we would like a quieter life with more quality time for us. Life in Spain is ideal for us, particularly my husband who likes to be occupied all the time and here he can work outside most of the year. I like it here because of the weather and there are so many more places to visit in this area, and with the weather it is all the more possible.
What we love about our property
We bought this villa when we first came here in 2001 and lived in it until 2003 when we bought our second home, which is more into the country. We decided to keep Villa Higueras as it is a lovely detached bungalow and is very spacious inside. We felt that it was an ideal self catering holiday home. Whenever the villa is unoccupied my husband is always down there doing either work in the garden or inside to make sure it is always well maintained. The garden faces south which is ideal particularly during the winter months.

“Stayed in this absolutely beautiful villa for 1 week at he end of Aug 2011 and it was exactly as shown in the photographs. Private pool and gardens perfect for relaxing through the day and eating out in the evenings
Comfortable beds and living area, pool table, table tennis, English Sky TV, DVD player which was great for my teenage daughter, no chance of her getting bored!!
The Villa is extremely well kept and spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and more.
Fuengriola is just 10 minutes in a taxi and 5 minutes to nearest restaurants / bars / supermarkets. (15 minute walk if your feeling fit)
The owners Linda and Pat are lovely and were only 5 minutes away if we needed anything.
Booked to go back end of Sept 2011 with the girls for a week can’t wait, see you then Linda and Pat.”

“"beautiful villa. exactly as described on the website.great facilities and very clean. the owners were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. second to none! would highly recommend this villa to any one we know. an assortment of restaurants and bars within a 10 min walk.
we had an excellent week, spending most of the time at the villa as our son was recovering from an operation, and the owners, linda and pat, put themselves out by helping us hire a wheelchair and by providing our son with extra games and entertainment.
having a car would be beneficial.
mijas is a 10 min car journey and is well worth a visit.
fuengirola has all the bars and clubs if thats what you like, el coto is alot more laid back.

The villa is exactly as I had hoped - superbly well equipped, clean, very well maintained, and homely - just perfect!
The owners made us feel very welcome and comfortable to be able to just relax, enjoy our stay and after a few days it really did feel like home.
I highly recommend this villa!”

“We have just come back from this beautiful property ( 09/04/2011 - 16/04/2011 ) and the villa is more beautiful than the pictures can do it's justice, this property has absolutly everything you need, the sun is in the garden from morning to evening. the pool is great even for the kids as it is graduated 1 metre to 2 metres. It was so private as it is totally un-overlooked and totally enclosed by lovely high green hedges and as its an electric gated propery, very safe and secure. Sit outside and have your breakfast and all you can hear are the birds singing .We hired a vehicle, but to be honest we hardly used it as everything you need for a holiday is right here in the property. There is an Iceland within 15 minute drive ( with all english speaking staff ) which has all your food requirements and as the villa has everything you can just relax. Linda & Pat are the best host's and ensure your stay is one of the best, Pat came and vacumed the pool so it was lovely and clean. This is one place that we can thoroughly reccommend and we will definately be coming back.”
