Villa Katalina is a beautiful Villa set in a large mature garden, with palm, olive, lemon orange and almond trees and surrounded by a 7ft wall making it very private. Located just 10 minutes from Chiclana del la frontera in the very Spanish, rural village of pago del humo. The Villa has everything you need for the perfect break as does the village being only a couple of minutes walk from several very Andalucian "venta's" (bar/restaurant) that people still visit on horse back, and a small, sell everything, shop that opens well into the evenings.
A short drive will find you at the fantastic beach of La Barrosa as well as many others, and within easy striking distance of the historical cities of Cadiz & Sevilla.
Villa Katalina is an older property (built by the Spanish for the Spanish). The kitchen has all the mod cons, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, washer etc. The lounge has a large pull out double bed settee, TV, DVD with a selection of films. There are two double bedrooms and one single with a cot and high chair available. All rooms are furnished to a high standard to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Outside there is a beautiful 10x4m pool, large patio table and six chairs and sun loungers to relax on. The garden also has a double swing for the childern and a basket ball hoop for the older ones. The garden is well established providing beatuful shaded areas to play games or to sit and eat lunch.
Villa Katalina is our second home and you will find many extras that will add to the comfort and enjoyment of all the family, including a large selection of books, DVD's to suit all ages, indoor & outdoor games etc in addition to a variety of inflatables, chairs and toys for use in the pool and at the beach.
Note: The pool is not fenced, therefore clients should consider the suitability of this property for very young or non-swimming children. Children should be supervised in the pool area at all times, particularly the very young.

Chiclana has the perfect climate, the heat of summer is offset by cooling Atlantic breezes and the winters are generally warm and sunny. With over 3,400 hours of sunshine a year, its coastline and facilities make it a top quality location for year round sports and leisure activities. Indeed the Spanish themselves favour this holiday destination.
The Atlantic coast here, has sea warmed by the Gulf Stream, so it is pleasant to swim in all year round. Being tidal, the beaches are fresh & clean, and La Barrosa holds the prestigious Blue Flag award.
Villa Katalina is located just 25 minutes from the historic city of Cadiz and just over an hour to the beautiful city of Seville. Also within an hours ride is the beach culture of Tarifa with it's awesome watersports, and a short ferry ride across to Morocco.
The area is blessed with numerous beautiful beaches, all within easy striking distance, the closest being La Barrosa that stretches along eight kilometers of fine sand, from the little island of Sancti-Petri to the tower of El Puerco.
There are also beautiful beaches at Conil and Sancti Petri (with it's tranquill harbour and water sports.) The area is surrounded by pinewoods and salt marshes with an abundance of wild life and a high ecological value, and are all part of the protected area known as the Natural Park of the Bay of Cádiz. The long sandy beaches have favoured the development of high-quality tourism with the pinewoods alongside the coast being the ideal complement for the beaches, sea all in perfect harmony.
The first stretch of La Barrosa is a built-up, tourist area, with a promenade provided with all type of services and touristic attractions: bars, restaurants, commercial centre, etc; and a second stretch, being the wilder side of the beach. La Barrosa enjoys the Blue Flag for the Clean Beaches of Europe, and has done so since this award was created. This beautiful beach is considered one of the best in the Andalusian coast, due to its fine and clean sand, the clearness of its water and the beautiful dunes and cliffs that characterize its wilder area's.
In the interior, vineyards, oak woods and meadows are part of the landscape; there exist also small natural reserves and lakes, where many different bird species breed, some of them in danger of extinction.
The urban center of Chiclana has all public services transport, culture, etc. It also offers important touristic attractions: monuments, an important comercial area, markets, handicrafts, wine cellars, restaurants, bars, etc.

“Great place. Have been here for 4 times already. So why only three stars? Well to trigger Dave and Kath to give the villa an allround workup. Improve the bath and shower, the hot water boiler and the equipment in the kitchen. Also wifi would be very welcome.
But if your not too keen on luxurery and are looking for a charming place with pool near some of Spain's best beaches... You found it!”

“Our third visit at this lovely villa has been as brilliant as it has been in 2009 and 2010 .
We love the beautiful garden with the olive-, lemon- and palm-trees and the pool .
In the evenings we enjoyed the barbecues .
We became Costa de la Luz-Fans . We´ve been all over Spain but Costa de la Luz is definitely the most beautiful region .
I think we´ll come back next year .”

“Lovely villa, a very well kept home from home with a stunning garden of mature Olive, Almond and Lemon trees. Located in a quiet, rural area (a car is a must) but ideally placed to visit local attractions such as Jerez, Cadiz, Seville and Gibratar. We travelled as three generations, grandparents, parents and teenage children and had a fantastic stay. We highly recommend this property for all the little touches like olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the cupboard so you don't have to invest in large bottels you will not finish if you do want to try the excellent local fish on the BBQ!”
