About the property
Casita de Villa Albanile is a perfect holiday cottage for 2 nestling in the idyllic scenary of unspoilt Andalucia. It is only about 10 minutes from the picturesque "pueblo blanco" of Gaucin but is a world apart from the hustle and bustle of modern everyday life being surrounded as it is by the perfect and peaceful countryside of southern Spain.
Although the cottage is set on the owners land it is completely independant from their own villa and has it's own private patio area looking out across the wondeful panorama. However because of the close proximity of the owner's villa it does have the exceptional advantage of a most luxurious and large swimming pool, 15 x 5m not normally found with such a modest holiday cottage. Whilst in theory this is shared with the owners they always come to an amicable arrangement with their guests so that neither encroach upon the others privacy and enjoyment of the pool.
The cottage consists of a good sized open plan living room with a wood burning stove and kitchen area equipped with an electric hob, microwave oven, fridge and all the necessary pots, pans, crockery, glassware etc. There is a music centre in the living room and patio doors leading out onto the private terrace.
The comfortable double bedroom has ample storage space, patio doors onto the terrace and an en-suite toilet/shower room with a fully tiled walk in shower.
The location of the cottage makes it ideal for those wishing to have a peaceful and relaxing holiday and is particuarly suited to anyone interested in birdwatching or hiking. It is possible to walk for many miles undisturbed by man or machine and the wealth of birdlife along with other wildlife and the spring flowers is staggering.

About Gaucin, Inland Andalucia
This charming village off the coast resides on the side of a steep rocky hill in the heart of the Andalucian countryside. Yet it’s ideal location means that the coastline and all it has to offer is only approximately 30 minutes drive away.
The village is full of traditional style buildings and there are lots of sights to take in, including the old convent, castle and the ancient church of San Sebastian. Walking around you can also see some magnificent views across to North Africa. The national park of Alcornocales is located at the edge of the village, which offers great walks in the open countryside.

Gaucin and the surrounding area.
Gaucin is a typically delightful Andalucian white village which still bears witness to the traditions of rural Spanish life.Here you will find many shops, bars and restaurants and at varying times of the year different local festivals such as the running of the bulls on Easter Sunday and the Feria on the first weekend in August.
There are many other interesting places to visit and explore, for example, Jimena, Jerez, Cortes de la Frontera, Ronda and much lovely unspoilt countrside and many quaint villages in between.Driving in this part of Andalucia is a pleasure as the roads are generally peaceful and quiet.
The Costa del Sol.
Casita de Villa Albanile is not only well placed for a relaxing and tranquil country holiday but it is also within easy reach of the western Costa del Sol and all this pleasant end of the Costa has to offer.The beaches are long, clean and sandy with many chiringitos ( beach bars) serving excellent sea food. In addition you have at your disposal a vast area of shops, bars and restaurants and for the golfers amonst you of course there is a staggering choice of some world class golf courses.
