About Estudio Mariposa

Estudio Mariposa is a pretty little apartment sitting half-way up a hill over looking the village of Casares with the most marvellous views across wooded hillsides in one direction and down towards the Mediterranean sea in another. It is attached to but completely separate from the owners house with a private footpath leading to the front door and then onto a small garden area where you can sit and admire the stunning views.

The accommodation comprises of an entrance lobby which opens into a good sized bed-sitting room. This contains a double bed and a comfy chair which converts into a single bed. There is also a dining table and chairs a separate seating area and ample storage space. A log-burning stove keeps the whole apartment very cosy during the winter months (fire-wood supplied). The kitchen is clean and bright and is equipped with a microwave, hob, fridge, toaster, electric kettle and all the necessary pots and pans.

In short Estudio Mariposa is a charming and sweet holiday apartment set overlooking quite breathtaking natural scenary.

Owner's Tips

The typical Andalucian white village of Casares is just 5 or 10 minutes away and in this modern day and age it is lovely to find such a traditional way of life so much in evidence. The people are friendly and the quaint, winding lanes are for the most part traffic free. Here you will find numerous bars and restaurants serving local fare as well as a variety of shops which will meet most of your needs. There is a very pleasant public swimming pool open from 20th June until 20th September. The countryside surrounding Estudio Mariposa offers some wonderful walks in unspoilt countryside. The bird watching is amongst the best in Europe and the National Park of The Sierra Crestellina is very close by.

The Costa del Sol with all the shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife and good clean beaches associated with that area is just about 25 minutes away and so it is easy to combine a holiday of peace and tranquillity and the pleasures of a traditional Spanish pueblo with all the activity and exhuberance of the Cost del Sol. Not forgetting of course the many excellent world renown golf courses of that area.

Travelling inland from Casares there is much to see and explore with more traditional white villages, beautiful countryside and such historic towns as Ronda and Jerez all within easy driving distance.

About us
My name is Ruth Polak and I live with my family near to the village of Casares in the mountains of Andalucia. We bought a run down Finca of 30,000 sq m. of land in 1992 and my husband, being a builder, renovated and built the house up.

I began renting an apartment on our Finca and our house in the village of Casares about 6 years ago and since then I have taken on other peoples villas and apartments to rent for them.

I thoroughly enjoy helping people to organize their holidays and using my knowledge of the area to help them to get the most out of their holiday on the Costa del Sol. I also work closely with my owners to ensure that their properties offer holiday makers good quality accommodation at reasonable prices.

What we love about our property
I hand pick all of the properties I represent to ensure that they offer good quality and value for money and hope that you have a very enjoyable holiday on the Costa del Sol.
