Situated on top of a hill by the sea with an imposing castle that is surrounding by fields of sugar cane. The town is a picture of beauty with it’s whitewashed buildings that dominate the hillside. Due to the good weather, social events are normally held outside, it’s not uncommon to see live music and shows at night, at the castle.
The main part of the town has modernised over the years due to the increase in tourism, so they’re plenty of place to eat and drink. For sports lovers the list is endless, however there is a new artificial reef under the waters to protect the marine life, so this may the ideal place to take snorkelling lessons.
Salobrena is known as the jewel of the Costa Tropical and the consists of a traditional whitewashed village beneath the old Moorish castle and newer beachfront area with bars and cafes. The beaches are long and clean and if you want a tast of real Spain this is the place to come. Better still the climate here is the best in Europe with all round warm temperatures.
