About La Casa En La Colina

La Casa en la Colina is our home and we are sharing this wonderful location.

We can offer two, 3 bedroom detached, new luxury wooden lodges that can sleep 6 people.

Each lodge has its own area of our pine wood and has views over orange groves towards the monumental town of Xativa. Just sit back and relax or visit local towns and villages, an opportunity to find the real Spain.

We have a pool that is safe for children and with an outside kitchen and bar area. There is your own lounger and pool towels available.

A welcome pack will available containing all you need to start your holiday. Bread, bacon, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, butter and all the usual condiments to get you started on your holiday.

We are within walking distance of the village llocnou d’en Fenollet which has shops and bars. After 5 years we are still discovering idyllic villages and restaurants, and can always give advice.

Owner's Tips

The town of Xativa is 3km away and has everything from a Moorish-Roman Castle, medieval cobbled streets and markets, to vibrant modern shopping, there are many restaurants, cafes and bars to suit every taste and time of day..

We have an historic guide available for tours of Xativa to make this towns past come alive.

There is Golf within 20 minutes of the house, at the new Simat golf course.

There are good walking and hiking paths, horse riding is nearby and guided walks are available.

The local beaches are 30mins away and are blue flag, and not crowded even in the high season. we have complementary parasols and beach equipment for you to use for your day at the coast,

The mountain pools at Pou Clar near Ontinyent are a must in the high summer, watch the locals jump off the crags into the large lagoon

Benidorm is about 1.30 minutes drive, and has Terra Mitica theme park and AquaPolis water park, and the nearby town of Cullera has its own smaller water park

A car is essential for this holiday.

Valencia is an easy train or car ride away, visit the Americas Cup port, and the largest aquarium in Europe. It is the home of the European F1 Gran Prix, together with the world renound Arts and Sciences complex or just soak up the atmosphere in the Cathedral square in this wonderful city.

About us
We are from the UK but have been living in Spain for several years.

We took the opportunity to live and work abroad and have had a fantastic time discovering Spain. We have also enjoyed the friendship and hospitality shown by our Spanish friends and neighbours.

Our daughter was educated at the local high school in Xativa and is now at University in England studying Music and Spanish.

This picture of us was taken when Elton John did a suprise one off concert for the re opening of the refurbished Xativa bullring in 2007. A great time was had by all!

What we love about our property
We love the rural feel to our house in Spain. The fabulous views, and peacefulness - you sometime feel like the only person for miles. But we are only a short walk to the village and drive to Xativa with everything you would expect from a modern and sophisticated town.

We love it when guests enjoy their stay in the lodges and appreciate the reasons why we chose this location as our Spanish home.
