About the property
This lovely twin bedded garden apartment, available to rent throughout the year, is situated in the beautiful coastal town of L'Escala just 40 minutes drive from Girona airport. In the quiet area of Riells de Dalt, just a short walk from beaches and shops.
The apartment has a good sized twin bedroom with a comfortable double sofa bed in the spacious lounge with TV and DVD player. The American style fully equipped kitchen has a gas hob, microwave and washing machine. There is a shower room and separate wc.
The apartment opens on to a large terrace and palm tree filled garden with private BBQ area and is gated and secure for children and pets. Easy parking in the area is a bonus in summer months.

About L'Escala, Costa Brava
This popular holiday resort was once a small fishing port, but over the years it has grown alongside tourism. Fishing remains an important role for the locals, and the fish auctions around the harbour area are the best place to pick up the catch of the day.
L’Escala has some great beaches, a particular favourite being Cala Montgó, this is a small bay that is protected from the wind, making it ideal for relaxing in the summer sun.
Owner's Tips...
All visitors to LEscala fall in love with this beautiful fishing port, its small and friendly old town, its woods, protected sand dunes, wide sandy beaches and small bays and coves. The resort is only 40 minutes drive from Girona airport, which is served by Ryanair. There are severak quality golf courses nearby and in winter there are ski resorts within an hour and a half's drive away.
The lanes of L'Escala's old town host small shops, wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes. The town hosts many concerts and has a very popular Sunday market.
Local activities include cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, skiing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind surfing.
L'Escala has carefully conserved the typical natural beauty and the typical urban atmosphere of the Costa Brava. But, equally important, L’Escala has kept alive many popular traditions and celebrations. These events are not maintained solely for the tourists, they are customs that are strongly rooted among its inhabitants. A good example is the Festa de Ntra. Sra. del Carme, patronised by the fishermen, which is celebrated on 16 July. The Festa celebrates old traditions – which are enjoyed by locals and tourists, alike – when all can participate in the procession that takes the virgin to the church of Sant Pere. Or, consider the Festa Major from the 2 to the 6 of September where the Sardana, the traditional dance of Catalonia, is enjoyed with a special passion.
Other interesting festivities are the Festa de la Sal, in October where the visitor can see the traditions of the fishing industry and the Festa de l'Anxova where everyone will be able to taste the internationally acclaimed anchovies of L’Escala. During the summer months, every Wednesday at 10 o’clock in the night, an orchestra (cobla) plays Sardanas at the old town's beach , and spontaneously groups of people form into circles. Everybody is invited to join in.
