About the property

La Terraza is a very spacious house of contemporary design with one-acre gardens and private pool. The property is set amongst vineyards and has fantastic mountain and valley views. The gardens are private with sunny and shaded areas and there are many terraces to enjoy (hence the name of the house). The property is not on a development. There are only 2 neighbouring villas which do not overlook the villa, terraces, pool or gardens.

The living accommodation of La Terraza is open plan, light and airy with cathedral ceilings. French doors open on to the terrace where we have outside dining table and chairs to take full advantage of the magnificent views across the vineyards to the mountains. The kitchen has luxury fittings and the solid oak dining table seats 8. La Terraza is beautifully furnished throughout ... leather sofas, quality super king size beds and linen.

La Terraza is located approximately 500 metres from the country road leading from Benissa to Lliber and Jalon. It is situated down a level sandy lane through the vineyards which is access to 4 houses only and therefore has no passing traffic. There are 2 neighbouring houses situated on the hillside behind La Terraza, though this property remains totally private due to its large gardens bordered by trees.

Bedroom 1 with super king-size bed (6 foot). Bedroom 2 with super king-size bed (6 foot). Bedroom 3 with twin beds. The super king-size beds can be split into single 3-foot beds if desired. We can supply a cot and highchair. Ensuite bathroom to bedroom 1 with bath, separate shower, wc. Shower room adjacent to bedrooms 2 and 3 with shower, wc.

Large open plan kitchen area with luxury kitchen fittings - large fridge/freezer, Zanussi cooker/hob, dishwasher, microwave oven. Separate utility room off the entrance hallway with large sink, washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Large open-plan living room with high vaulted ceilings, central chimney with double sided wood-burner/gas heating. Sitting area - leather sofas, Sky subscription satellite TV, hi-fi, DVD and book collection. The kitchen/dining area - solid oak dining table to seat 8.

La Terraza´s open plan living room has a large double-sided central wood burner and gas fires, plus electric radiator central heating in all bedrooms and bathrooms thus making the villa ideal for all year round rental.

The property has a wireless internet connection for use with your laptop. You just need a wireless adaptor card for use anywhere around the villa and pool!

Access to very private pool terrace from wrap-around villa terrace and from the master bedroom. Swimming pool 10 x 4 metre, roman steps, underwater lighting. BBQ, dining furniture, parasols, pool toys. 1 acre private gardens and secure off-road parking for several cars in the villa's driveway.

A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, water, wine, toilet tissue, soap, all detergents etc for washing machine and dishwasher are provided.

Rental prices include a full clean before your arrival and quality towels and linen which are changed after 7 days for stays of 2 weeks. We also provide pool and beach towels for guest use.

A security damages deposit of £150 is required in addition to the property rental which is refunded to you within 10 working days of your departure, once the villa has been cleaned/changed over.

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance of rental plus security damages deposit is payable within 8 weeks of your arrival.

We can accept payment by credit card.

Owner's Tips...

Nearest small shops, bars and two excellent restaurants in Lliber village, 3 minutes by car. Larger shops and supermarkets in Jalon and Benissa, 7 minutes by car.

Lliber village is 1.5km from the villa and has the usual small village shops plus a couple of bars and restaurants. Jalon town is 3km distant and has a wide range of amenities, including larger shops, internet cafes, restaurants and bars, wineries and a very popular Saturday bric a brac market. The resorts of Calpe, Moraira and Javea are 15/20 minutes drive from the villa.

Large choice of country restaurants within the Jalon Valley villages, 10 minute drive radius.

We have a very comprehensive folder in the villa with lots of local information about places to shop, eat, drink, visit, beaches, wineries, Valencia city, inland trips.

About us

I started my business Find The Real Spain from the successful and extremely enjoyable experience of renting my own property, La Terraza, in the Jalon Valley. Friends and neighbours here in Spain approached me to rent their properties for them and that´s how the business started! I have a portfolio of around 30 properties for holiday rental - individual, high-quality and all with private pools, in the areas of the Jalon Valley, inland Costa Blanca and inland Costa del Azahar (between Alicante and Valencia).

What we love about our business

I´ve always enjoyed travel, homes, gardens and sunshine so I guess this is the ultimate job for me! We offer a very "hands on" approach to our guests ensuring that they are met on arrival, shown around their holiday property, answer any questions they may have on arrival and we are always at the end of a phone for support if required during their stay (the holiday property information folder is comprehensive but there is always further information that can be helpful depending on the guests´ particular interests).

“Very good villa. Extremley profesional service, we have stayed in many villas but have never had the service we received from Angie and Simon. The only down point was the downstairs bedrooms that were damp and smelt musty, whilst this did not bother us a we used the superb bedroom upstairs, it would have been hard to choose who would have to have slept in the damp bedrooms if we had come with the other family we normally go on holiday with. Hence why the villa only hasfour stars and not five”

Owner's response: Thanks for your review, Jacqui. We had a problem with the "gota fria" rains the previous week to your arrival which allowed some rainwater leakage into the downstairs bedrooms, hence the damp smell. The "gota fria" was particularly bad this autumn and came much earlier than usual. Some folks had their houses swept away in SE Spain. We knew you would use only the main floor of the villa, otherwise we would have, of course, moved you to another villa had you required all bedrooms. You were our last booking of the 2009 season and we are now having the entire naya area covered with roofs in the same way as the centre area is covered, which will prevent any further problems when we get our tropical-type rains.

“Beautiful villa with stunning views. We have stayed there several times - sometimes with family/friends & also just as a couple. For us the big bonus is 2 x kingsize bedrooms which means that guests don't feel 2nd class by being put in a twin room or that we have to compromise on our level of luxury. Well equiped kitchen & excellent outdoor facilities - tables, sunloungers, barbeque & good sized pool which is very private. A car is a necessity because of the location; we always pick up a car from the airport which means that you have access to all the small towns & villages in the surrounding area. We are planning another visit next year with Australian friends.”

“what a great property- it was exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything that we needed was there for us and we had a fantastic stay and will definately return. We didnt move far from the villa and so if are looking for an away from it all break this is the place for you. The local wine was good and very cheap and we definately found 'the real Spain'.
If there was to be a couple of negatives it would be that if the villa was filled its capacity (we were only 2) the only accessible toliet from the pool is the ensuite to the master bedroom. Also the barbeque is a little far from the kitchen and there wasnt an outdoor fridge or work area. Not a huge problem as the main kitchen is fab but something to be aware of if you are big on alfresco dining and the only thing that could improve on the property in our opinion”

“We cannot rate La Terraza highly enough. It has everything a family could need and is in the perfect location. This was our second year at the villa and we will be coming back again next year. The pool is beautiful with just the right amount of shade most of the day and the accommodation is so spacious. We particularly enjoy eating out on the terrace and enjoying the views of the Jalon valley. The only minor suggestion I could make for improvement would be to remove a few of the trees to improve the view further.”
