About the property

The Goat Shed is a barn conversion and is part of a rambling rural Spanish farmhouse set in extensive grounds within the Macizo del Caroig Park Natural, approximately 40 minutes drive from the medieval city of Xativa.

The Goat Shed has an open-plan living area of sleeping space with twin beds, kitchenette (2 ring hob, toaster, fridge) and sitting area with a shower room adjacent. Guests have use of a 7 x 4 metre swimming pool, situated on an elevated and private terrace, outside furniture as well as all the land surrounding the property and their own courtyard.

The swimming pool is for guest use - its possible that B&B guests (maximum 4 persons) could also be staying at the farmhouse and may also use the pool. There are many terraces and sitting areas in the gardens, with stone seats strategically placed to take in the wonderful scenery and views over the National Park (on a clear day you can see the coast at Cullera). The vine-covered terrace at the front of the farmhouse is the perfect spot for breakfast, dinner or a relaxing drink. There is ample outside furniture; sunloungers, chairs, tables, parasols and a BBQ for guest use.

Las Carreteras, the adjacent farmhouse, has 2 acres of private land which is a haven for birds, wildlife and flora and fauna. The farmhouse offers dinner to their B&B rooms (2 letting rooms) so dinner can be booked by arrangement with the owners (10 euros per person including wine).

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and are based on 2 people sharing.

July to September 2008	£245 per week FLAT RATE (regardless of party size)

Prices include a full clean before arrival, linen and towels, welcome pack. For bookings of 2 weeks, a linen and towel change is included.

The owners will meet you on arrival. Meals (farmhouse breakfast, packed lunches, evening meal) available by arrangement.

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance of rental is payable within 8 weeks of your arrival.

A security damages deposit of £100 is payable with the balance of rental which is refunded within 10 working days of your departure, once the property has been cleaned and changed over.

We can accept payment by credit card.

Owner's Tips...

The Goat Shed is located centrally between the market towns of Enguera and Ayora being approximately 30 minutes drive time to each. The area is a Parque Natural and a haven for much flora and fauna. Both towns are well appointed with supermarkets, shopping, bars and restaurants as well as local markets selling produce, leather goods, etc. Blue flag sandy beaches at Tavernes are approximately 60 minutes drive time and certainly worth the effort.

The nearest supermarket, town shops, bars, restaurants, markets and winery are at Enguera and Ayora, 30 minutes by car. Major supermarkets, bars, restaurants and stylish Spanish boutique shopping at Xativa, 40 minutes by car. There is a twice weekly market in the old quarter, a wonderful preserved castle and many historic buildings to amble around. The city of Valencia is 60 minutes drive or easy train ride from Xativa. Valencia is the city of culture and will be host to the “Americas Cup” in 2007.
