Beautiful bright and airy studio apartment, newly refurbished throughout. Comprises twin beds, comfortable living space with satellite TV/VCR (channels 1-4), CD/DVD player and radio/cassette player, together with bathroom and well appointed kitchen with all modern conveniences.
Also, given a rather odd comment recently made, I just wish to confirm with regard to the bathroom that it has (and always has had) a solid wooden lockable door and the doors around the shower cubicle are (and always have been) opaque.
Has wonderful large private balcony where you can sit out and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the swimming pools for the complex. On a clear day you can even see the island of Fuerteventura! A large umbrella is also on hand for those of you who don't like too much sun.
The apartment has everything you need within walking distance so a car isn't necessary, however should you wish to explore the island further, car hire is recommended.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.
For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.
There are two excellent restaurants just a couple of minutes walk from the apt - "Marios", which is in the adjoining Montana Tropical complex and "La Chalana" (the Flatboat) which is on the road below the Reception. They both provide great food, good service and at very cheap prices. Also it's just a 5 minute walk to the harbour where there are many lovely waterside restaurants to choose from.
Should you prefer to just eat in, there is a supermarket just a minute's walk away where you can get all your groceries. Marios (mentioned above) also do great take-aways!
There is also a pharmacy in walking distance.
Places worth visiting include the spectacular Parque Nacionale de Timanfaya which has served as a film location in a number of movies. Here not only can you have a ride on a camel if you wish but also have a meal cooked by the heat of a volcano! Jameos del Agua is well worth a visit and Mirador del Rio has the most amazing views. Another interesting place to go is Cueva de los Verdes - caves with amazing stalactite/stalagmite formations and one cavern which is so large and has such good acoustics that concerts are held in it! One of the most amazing places you can visit is the Cesar Manrique Foundation, the former home of the famous artist, sculptor, architect and environmentalist (who created Mirador del Rio, Jameos del Agua, the Cactus Garden, the restaurant at Timanfaya and much more). It is a home unlike any other, with the rooms built within natural lava bubbles and channels but bright and airy despite that, some rooms being open to the sky. There is also a gallery there showing some of his artwork together with beautiful gardens. Other places worth visiting, include Las Salinas, Playa Blanca, El Golfo and Los Hervideros.
Even if you aren't hiring a car for your vacation there are number of organised tours which you can take to enable you to visit all of the above attractions.
Windsurfing - Famara is a great spot for those that enjoy wind surfing.
Golf Costa Teguise (the only golf course on the island) is an 18-hole course set in a wonderful scenic setting.
Scuba Diving - There is a place downstairs in Montana Tropical which can arrange scuba diving trips for you.
For all you wine lovers a trip to La Geria is highly recommended. Not only will you see where the majority of grapes are grown but you will also be able to sample and purchase the local wines at the many Bodegas in the area.
If you're looking for that classy and unique gift then Expo Arte is the perfect shop for you. Located upstairs in Montana Tropical the shop resembles Aladdin's Cave, being full of all sorts of beautiful things and is definitely a must for all jewellery lovers!!
There is also a large Sunday market at Costa Teguise which is really worth a visit and will give you the opportunity to get lots of bargains!
You can hire a car through Reception when you arrive or if you prefer to have a car waiting for you at the airport you can arrange this by going into the website www.autoreisen.es who have very reasonable rates.
There is a bus stop oustide Flora Apts which is just a few minutes walk from the apartment. From here you can catch the bus to the Costa Teguise Market as well as the regular buses which go along the Avenida de Las Playas all the way to Arrecife.
Numerous companies do cheap flights to Lanzarote including First Choice and Monarch.

“It is our second visit to the San Francisco 2 apartments chosen for their fantastic views over the harbour. The apartment was very well appointed and great value for money. Vanessa the apartment owner was also very pleasant and efficient to deal with. As a bonus the weather was also excellent over the Christmas and New Year period. The location is great, but wouldn't be suitable for the elderly or disabled due to the steep hills and many steps.

“Hi We have just returned form sanfrancisco 2 apartments they are brill the complex is so so friendly its like home from home, we have now stayed there many many times and never get sick of it. gesa the lady who takes care of everything who is in reception is like a family member she threw her arms around us as soon as she saw us, nothing to much for her. the complex is very very clean and not too big even the guy who looks after the pool and complex upkeep always talks to you . we stayed in 401 apartment we have had this several times now , private one we loved it over looking the sea and haveing breakfast every morning on the balcony, devo recomend this complex . sandra&dave xxxxxxxxxxx”

“We have been going to Puerto del Carmen for 11 years and always stay in the Old Town.The studio we had at San Francisco II was ideally placed for shops,bars,restaurants and easy downhill access to the harbour and beach with the local bus service close by.The studio itself,although basic,had everything we needed and more ( microwave,iron & board,hairdryer,room fan,tv,safe etc)and the bed linen and towels were fresh and in good condition.We will certainly be going back to that studio.”
