About the property

Pine Beach apartment is decorated for those who appreciate a little luxury while on holiday, including paintings by local artists. This modern well equipped 2 bedroom apartment is also ideally situated with uninterrupted sea views across the beautiful golden dunes and evergreen pine forest reserve of Las Dunas de Guardamar, while behind us the fresh waters of the river Segura flow into the clear blue Mediterranean sea.

Look out for elegant egrets and herons during your 15min stroll along the road by the river to the Marina and beach. Alternatively, stroll through the pine forest along well marked woodland paths to the beach, or the lovely Reina Sofia Park with its red squirrels and peacocks.

A 5 minute walk along the road in the opposite direction takes you to the high street where you can either walk into the centre via shops and cafes, or hitch a lift around town on one of the frequent and cheap mini-buses.

This luxuriously decorated, well equipped 2 bedroom apartment includes the following facilities.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and large fitted wardrobes and store for ironing-board. The twin bedroom has two single beds and a large pine wardrobe with drawers. Both bedrooms come equipped with their own hair dryers, cooling fans and heaters. The bathroom contains a walk-in shower, wc, bidet and sink with spot-light.

The lounge area contains a large sofa bed, air conditioning, TV, DVD and CD mini hi-fi. For your comfort the sofa-bed has an integral, fully-sprung matress. French windows open out to uninterrupted sea views across the dunes/pine-forest reserve. A large balcony overlooking the pine-forest is equipped with wicker table and four chairs.

The kitchen contains a touch sensitive halogen hob and fan-oven/grill with extractor. It also includes a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, juicer etc. An adjacent utility room contains a fast-spin washing-machine and foldable pool chairs.

The apartment pool lies immediately behind the apartment and includes a fresh-water shower. The apartment also benefits from an elevator, and an allocated bay in its own secure car-park.

The number of our Spanish speaking British contact will be provided to assist in an emergency.

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and are based on 2 people sharing.

All prices are total costs for the apartment, not per person, and change-over days/times are flexible to be agreed with you on booking.

Also, please note that the above prices are fully inclusive of all linen and towels, cleaning the apartment for your arrival and on your departure, and all electricity/water bills. Note: please advise us on booking if you wish to use the sofa-bed to that we can provide linen for you.

A booking deposit of £100 secures all bookings made more than 2 months prior to your arrival. Within two months of your expected arrival date payment in full is requested.

A security bond of £150 is also requested before your arrival at the apartment. This will be returned to you within two weeks of returning the keys assuming no losses/breakages have been incurred or replacements deemed necessary.

If you prefer not to drive, we can arrange transfers to/from both airports for you for a small charge (Alicante 30€, Murcia 45€) and private trips can also be organised, both paid locally.

In addition, to help you concentrate on relaxing and enjoying yourself, we can arrange for a welcome pack on your arrival to meet your grocery requirements, or shopping to be collected on your behalf. In addition, any additional maid services during you stay can be arranged. The costs of these services will vary depending upon your specifications and are payable locally.

About Guardamar del Segura, Costa Blanca

A small Spanish town located next to the mouth of the River Segura and overlooking a large expanse of sand dunes with an abundance of pines and eucalyptus. An attractive feature of the local environment is the Reina Sofía Park where the pine groves have been enhanced with lakes, ponds, botanical routes, and the wildlife make it well worth visiting.

The town centre has a wide variety of shops, be it small gift shops or the supermarket and every Wednesday is market day. Restaurants and bars are plentiful with a choice of food and wine to suit most tastes and pockets. Fiestas are an important part of life in Guardamar and the atmosphere provided by the locals is something to remember. The Moors & Christians Fiesta held during the last week in July is quite spectacular with wonderful costumes, and culminates with a fantastic firework display from the beach.

Owner's Tips...

The town has a large selection of restaurants representing cuisine from around the world (e.g. Chinese, Italian, Mexican and English) as well as fine Spanish restaurants, tapas bars, café bars & cake shops.

Bargain hunters will enjoy the bustling atmosphere of Guardamar market held on Wednesday mornings, or a more relaxed evening stroll among the charming trinket stalls that spring up beside the park at weekends.

Locally famous for its coastal dune and pine-forest Guardamar also has a rich history and culture, from ancient Phoenician and Moorish settlements to its medieval castle. But for more modern pursuits one can engage in nautical activities at the Marina including chartered fishing trips, sailing & diving courses or more traditional sports, such as tennis and badminton, at the towns sport centre which also has a large indoor/outdoor public swimming pools.

Furthermore, you are just 15-25mins drive from a host of activities including 5 golf courses, 2 aquaparks or shopping for designer clothes in the cosmopolitan city of Elche (Elx), the shoe-making capital of Spain. For the more adventurous willing to explore further afield the most relaxing must surely be the luxurious natural hot-water springs by the river Segura in the spa town of Alchena.

The town of Guardamar is a charmingly traditional Spanish beach resort, identified as one of the top 10 beach resort secrets of the Costa Blanca. Guardamar is surprisingly easy to get to as it lies between two international airports both served by several budget airlines. You can find us just 20-25mins drive from Alicante airport, or 40-45mins from Murcia airport at San Javier.

If you prefer not to drive, we can arrange transfers to/from both airports for you for a small charge (Alicante 30 Euros, Murcia 45 Euros) and private trips can also be organised, both paid locally.
