We are flexible about lengths of stay and even about arrival/departure days too, your flights constitute the biggest cost of your holiday so if you find flights before or after your " core holiday time" why not call us to see if you can have 8,9,10,11,12, whatever days etc.
The "On Cost" for the apartment is pro rata per day so the "relative cost for the extra time away is small" if at all, you may even save enough on your Off Peak flights to pay for the extra days , you choose ! we will always try to accommodate your needs, remember 2000 miles each way for 7 days is barely/rarely enough when your in Los Gigantes! You'll see what we mean when you arrive

If you do not take out insurance you could lose your holiday and your money paid, we urge you to take out insurance, try the post office at the time of booking. We can not be held responsible should your ability to complete your holiday be impacted by matters beyond our control.
Always contact us before booking your flights. N.B. Booking calendar, we do not fully maintain the booking availability part of this website. If it is in Yellow it means one of our apartments is booked but the other Penthouse may be free so always call or e-mail to check , we reply very promptly and can always pass you on to our local manageress if we cannot help you. We would hate to disappoint you so always call us first, thank you.
The sheer cliffs of “The Giants” attract scores of visitors every year and the views are some of the most spectacular on the island. This area remains one of the few calmer holiday destinations, which is quite rare on Tenerife. However the town of Puerto de Santiago, which lies South of Los Gigantes is more developed and relies heavily upon tourism.
Oh in case you hadn't picked up the latest info ..iPod dock for your use with your own iPod! Just read our visitors book , it says it all! You ask we provide ! Many people now regularly re book with us, some two or three times a year (one couple came back three times last year ! ). Another famous lady had two weeks with us in 2007, 4 weeks 2008 a full month 2009 and has already booked for 2010 ( a month of course) ! Guess its the air-conditioning that makes a difference then!
In December 2008 a year a famous "Jordanian/American/Gypsy Photo Journalist" came from Baghdad for a week and then flew off to live in Beirut!
Our international visitors just keep surprising us.. Bagdad,Jordan,Beirut,Vancouver, Sweden, Zambia, Australia, France, Belgium, Holland, and finally a Canadian soldier from "Helmand Province in Afghanistan" ( his parents flew from Vancouver) to meet and share a holiday in our apartment!
A comprehensive growing visitor information book is kept in the apartment highlighting everything that is available in and around the island. Lots of critiques of wonderful inexpensive local restaurants within a short walk.
We also have arranged discounts with local car hire companies and an excellent super reliable (cheaper than the airport taxis) courier type taxi service contact who provides superb arrival/greet no matter what time your plane arrives. It's hard not to feel important when you see your name on his sign waiting for you as you come through the arrivals door.No stops or detours to other resorts along the way mean you are whisked away to Gigantes in about 40 minutes with excellent well maintained vehicles and safe drivers! If you've been before youll know the airport drivers tend to be Khamakhazi, Sun Holidays drivers are super safe!
Home is West Kirby on the Wirral. 3 children, dog, cat, ancestors etc, spend 3 months each year here so made the place as comfortable as home with (nearly) everything. Eventually plan to spend up to 6 months a year here (bring it on)!
We fell in love with Gigantes in 1992, its peaceful, sleepy, village feel (and it still is) was such a contrast to Los Cristianos where we used to holiday. We stayed in this property in 2004 so a year later when the Holiday Property Bond sold their 12 apartments in this complex (after 25 years of full bookings) Joe flew out and chose the best top floor 2 penthouses, overlooking the courtyard palms, quiet, with great views, away from the road, bars and cafes on the seafront and best of all no furniture or footfall above.
Having grabbed the best in the complex, we set about fitting it out & furnishing to live their year round. Our first priority was fitting full air-conditioning to use the penthouse year round, even in the heights of the summer.
Having achieved that we had 2 months there in July/August to make sure we had got it right. The comments from past guests confirm we have and they return year on year.
The top floor location, spacious design and very Spanish appeal gives cool shelter when all around are baking! Its great to slip into the underground car park and then get the lift to your front door.
Year we bought the property: 2005

“This apartment was excellent in just about every way ! It was very clean, clearly very well maintained and the owner had ensured that all the equipment and information that you can possibly want was there and functional. It had an excellent balcony with a great view which if you wanted just to relax read and watch the world and the marina go by was ideal. the resort was relatively quiet with plenty of good restaurants of varying types but in our experience reasonable value (given the current dreadful exchange rate) . I would also recommend the Sun Holidays transfer service if you intend to go there. If I were to be extremelly picky from a self catering perspective I would say there is no oven but I expect in the prevailing heat there you would not want to use one if there were.”
Owner's response: Thank you for your kind comments , as to the missing oven? we cooked our christmas turkey in it 6 weeks ago! a mystery? fitted under the kitchen worktop? .... you must have had a good time ! ? ! we will replace it if it has gone!?... p.s. Gail just e-mailed to say the oven is still there and working?

“Poblado Marinero is a fabulous holiday rental, the views of the harbour are amazing (the sunsets to ndie for!) and it is a lovely quiet apartment block which is very clean and private. It is also close to restaurants, shops and only a few minutes to the beach. You really couldn't wish for anywhere better. I would highly recommend it for both couples and families.”
Owner's response: thank you Annie for your kind comments , welcome back again this April 2010!

“We really enjoyed our stay at Poblado Marinero, it was situated in an excellent location near the harbour and good restaurants and only a short walk to the town centre and to the beach. The apartment 324 was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the DVD player. We also appreciated the air-conditioning . It would have been great to have a CD player as we missed being able to play music, but we understand the noise policy and not having music loud so not to disturb the neighbours. We struggled with the key safe outside the apartment on the day of our departure. We should have done a practice run before hand as we left it to the last minute to lock up and panic set in as I couldn't lock the key in the safe and our mini-bus to the airport was waiting for us. Only realising now that of course i needed the code again! It was my fault because I wasn't prepared, so I overlooked the exit procedure. Thankfully, I rang up Joe shortly afterwards to explain the predicament and he was very kind and calm, I apologise for this oversight. Both my mother and I had a really lovely relaxing time, we liked the pool opposite the apartment and enjoyed the beach (but the sand was really hot to walk on). We went on the Masca walk, which was great and a trip to see the Whales and the dolphins is a definite must. The weather, food, and the whole experience was really lovely and we would love to return some day. Thanks very much for an enjoyable stay.”
Owner's response: Amanda thank you for your review. Both Penthouses's now have iPod docks (good quality), so take your iPhone/ iPod / or mp3 player and you can have the smooth sounds of your favourite music whilst enjoying the views on your holidays, (please consider the neighbours). thanks for a great suggestion , you ask we respond it just gets better, enjoy!.
