Description About the property

This house is in Islantilla on the southern coast of Spain, near to wide sandy beaches and close to the border with Portugal.

The house has three bedrooms, the master bedroom with double bed and balcony has beautiful views over the golf course. There are two further twin bedrooms, one has views over the golf, the other, a balcony and views over the complex and countryside. Two travel cots are also provided. There is a family bathroom upstairs with bath and shower and a second toilet downstairs.

The kitchen is fully equipped for a comfortable holiday and includes a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. All linen and towels are provided and there is central heating for those chilly nights in winter.

The garden has lovely views and a patio and barbeque for alfresco dining.

For the energetic there are paddle tennis courts in front of the house (racquets provided), water sports at the beach and golf at the nearby Islantilla Golf Club. The large swimming pool is located conveniently close to the house and is open from mid June to mid September. A play area within the complex keeps the children happy.

For the kids, stored in the garage is an exceptionally good range of children's toys and equipment including travel cots, changing mat, stair gates, booster seats for meal times, plastic plates and cutlery and socket covers. We can arrange a welcome pack to include basic groceries and make your arrival easier.

A good range of toys for babies upwards include buckets and spades, paddling pool, shape sorters, ride-on toddler cars, scooters, books, puzzles, games and more. There is a selection of DVDs and videos for both adults and children. The house has easy access for a child's buggy and there is a door from the lounge downstairs to the garage so access to the car is also easy. The complex is a great area for children to play.

Car hire is recommended and available from both Faro and Seville airport, please contact for information about a cheap and reliable company at Faro airport who can also provide children's car seats.

With crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, it’s no wonder people are attracted to this town. This quiet resort is yet to be hit hard by tourism, therefore ensuring charm without the brashness of some larger resorts.

A short distance away is El Terron which is a bustling fish port, well worth visiting if you want to see the local fisherman tending to their daily catch. Another bonus is the delightful fresh seafood that is available.

Recommendations Owner's Tips...

A good selection of local restaurants and bars are within walking distance, the area is renowned for its seafood, cured ham, olives, strawberries and oranges. The local market at La Antilla is 10 minutes walk away and great for fresh local produce.

There are many opportunities for sightseeing and culture in the area including Seville, El Rocio, Coto Donana national park, The Aracena caves and crossing the border to Portugal's Algarve area. Further afield are visits to Cadiz, Jerez, Cordoba and Granada. Inland is particularly beautiful in the spring when the mountains are carpeted with flowers.

An excellent health centre is 5-10 minutes drive away and open 24 hours (details in the house).

Faro in Portugal is the nearest airport, 50 minutes drive away along good dual carriageways. Alternatively Seville airport is 1.5 hours drive away. Cheap flights are available to Faro with Monarch, Easyjet, British Airways, Excel Airways and First Choice. British Airways fly to Seville.

Car hire is reccommended, please contact for details of a reliable car hire company at Faro airport.

This is a great holiday home for beach or golf lovers, couples, groups or families. Beautiful sandy beaches stretch for miles along the coast, the nearest is a 15 minute walk away, many more lie within 10 or 15 minutes drive. Islantilla golf course and club house is 10 minutes walk away. The house is suitable for families with children.
