About the property

Almadraba self catering apartments are in a great location only a three minute walk to La Barrosa beach. There is access to 2 tennis courts, a 5-a-side football pen and a children's play area. Two great swimming pools with lifeguards in attendance. The swimming pools are open in mid June until mid September.

The apartment Almadraba has two bedrooms, one double and one twin room. All linen and towels are provided, including beach towels. There is a bathroom with shower over the full size bath. In the front room there is a bed settee and dining table and chairs to seat 6 people this room opens up onto the front terrace which also has table and chairs. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge freezer, gas hob, electric cooker, washing machine and microwave.

There is also a private garage for your use. Car hire is also available from all airports. Jerez airport is only 40 minutes from the apartment. Flights can be booked via low cost airline Ryanair.

Seville and Gibraltar are the next closest airports and are based about 1 -2 hours away from the apartment or you can travel a bit further from Malaga and Faro which are located 3 hours away.

About Chiclana, Costa de la Luz

Chiclana has the perfect climate, the heat of summer is offset by cooling Atlantic breezes and the winters are generally warm and sunny. With over 3,400 hours of sunshine a year, its coastline and facilities make it a top quality location for year round sports and leisure activities. Indeed the Spanish themselves favour this holiday destination.

The Atlantic coast here, has sea warmed by the Gulf Stream, so it is pleasant to swim in all year round. Being tidal, the beaches are fresh & clean, and La Barrosa holds the prestigious Blue Flag award.

Owner's Tips...

Whether you choose to eat in or out, there is plenty of variety from beach-side cafes and tapas bars to 5 star hotels. Various restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries can be found in La Barrosa and the complex of Novo Sancti Petri contains more restaurants, many offering local specialities. Locally caught fresh fish is a must and the rustic restaurants of the Marina are popular. Remember that the Spanish eat late! If you prefer to cook in the apartment there are a variety of supermarkets nearby. Chiclana Centro also has an indoor market selling fresh fish, meat and vegetables. Some restaurants offer take-away food, such as spit-roast chicken and breaded local fish.

Please note that some activities/restaurants may be closed out of season.
