VILLA MADERA ....is located on the lower slopes of an extinct (?) volcano at 650ft(200M) above sea level, and is respected by "all in the know" as one of the most recognisable properties on the island, famed for it's stunning and very individual appearance, with a private location unspoiled by modern development or traffic. With It's panoramic views of mountains, coastline and other islands VM is unquestionably in the top echelon of places to stay in Lanzarote. About Macher, Lanzarote
Mácher is a 15-minute drive from the airport. It offers a quiet and peaceful holiday in a private situation. Mácher offers a number of restaurants and a supermarket and it has wonderful sea views. Just off the main Arrecife-Yaiza road, the village is centrally situated.
Owner's Tips
Car hire is absolutely essential for discovering the multiple opportunities presented by the island. The New Golf Course at Tias, 5 minutes drive.... plus the original championship course at Costa Teguise Golf (20 minutes by car). Marina sailing, fishing, horse riding and many other excursions all only 5 minutes drive.
WiFi supplied f.o.c . Air conditioning and additional GAS** pool heating are available but subject to conditions**, . "The Man - age - ment" will provide FULL details on request.
Sports, Health & Fitness fanatics are also catered for with a variety of "daring do" activities close by.
All only minutes away........ sailing, professional boat fishing, Scuba diving, horse riding, cycling, windsurf, hang gliding.
Additionally the 5 star Health Spa is close by. Ask for details of their "day pass"
All this whilst staying in a traditional style property with all modern amenities! Villa Madera offers a central location which ensures easy access to all parts of the island. "Easy access" includes beaches, airport and marina Puerto Calero, famous not only for its restaurants but also for its many sea going excursions above AND below the surface.???

About us
the owners of VM lived on Lanzarote more than 25 years. They have a wealth of experience and insight of what to do, and NOT to do, places to go and intimate details of some of the best ways to enjoy Lanzarote.
Macher was chosen for their home since it is generally accepted as THE best position with THE most stunning views. Nearly 10 years have passed since they lived their dream and they still enjoy sharing it with all their friends... often.
What we love about our property
Villa Madera is still being constantly upgraded. Something noted by their many returning "friends".

“Well we're back on here again, thanks to yet another lovely visit to Villa Madera.
The Man-age-ment continue to provide a warm and welcoming environment, whilst lurking politely in the background to ensure privacy is maintained when required.
The villa is as beautiful and every bit as much of a "second home" as we remember, with space aplenty and views to die happily for. Peace and quiet are the order of the day, with plenty of fridge(s) space available for food, wine and beer; with the attractive exterior offering a relaxing environment to lazily spend your time.
We're counting down the days until our return later this year, very much looking forward to the good times we encounter at VM.

P.S. Thanks to a visit from my family whilst in Lanzarote we moved out into the Costa Calero. I can say we complete sincerity that Lawrence would be considered very much the teenage rebel in comparison with the hotel patrons; he is the epitomy of the adage "Young at heart".”

“Popped over for a long weekend to stay with family who were staying for two weeks. Nice villa, good facilities, excellent local food and wine. Owners are delightful couple with lots of advice that's worth absorbing and using. Nice, restful weekend. Would recommend.”

“We've stayed at villa madera a couple or three times a year for several years now. Unlike other villas we've stayed at, the owners lovingly upgrade both the interior and exterior of this already beautiful property, year on year. The villa has good quality and comfortable seating areas outside, to accommodate those who wish to be either in or out of the sunshine. It is spotless, has big comfortable beds and comes with every mod con you could possibly wish for. What makes it unique, is that it also comes complete with the charming owners who are on hand to help and advise, or, who disappear into the background when you need privacy. Don't take my word for it - read the other reviews and then try it for yourself - you won't be disappointed.”

“On arrival we were provided with essentials such as water, tea, coffee, Cava! Which was a lovely touch. The outdoor facilities are superb, ample terrace space for enjoying the sun, great outdoor barbeque / eating area, fantastic heated pool which is a good size. The outdoor lounge is perfect for relaxing in the evenings, shaded from any breeze and with a patio heater , we hardly spent a moment indoors. When we did however there was a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, lovely big airy comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The amazing artwork of the host adds the perfect finishing touches. The management find the perfect balance of attentive owners offering advice and hospitality to help you enjoy the Island but leaving you in privacy to enjoy your holiday. We will definitely be returning.”
