This is a privately owned upstairs apartment (with own private staircase) which is located on a very attractive, clean and relaxing complex, with a large well maintained communal swimming pool. The pool has a children’s area and plenty of sun beds.

There is also a small English bar on the complex which serves food throughought the day, 7 days a week. The bar has live music most nights (seasonal) and closes around 11:30pm , so there are no rowdy late nights.

The apartment is clean and comprises of a bedroom (twin beds), fitted wardrobe with shelving and a built in safe, separate bathroom with walk-in shower. The kitchen area is equipped with crockery, cutlery, kettle, fridge, toaster, hob, microwave, saucepans, frying pan and all necessary utensils. There is also an iron, ironing board and automatic washing machine.

The comfortable and spacious lounge is well furnished with a large double sofa bed. There is also a pine storage cupboard, coffee table, chest of drawers and a good sized table and chairs. Along with the colour TV, DVD player and stereo you will find a selection of CD's and DVD's.

Double doors from the lounge open out onto your own fully furnished and private sun terrace.

We also offer a midweek clean and can arrange airport transfers if required, prices upon request.

Please note: This is a non smoking apartment, although smoking is allowed on the terraced area.

Prices for up to 4 people £175 per week, any week of the year. Prices held until January 2013.

There is a single sofa bed, allowing for a fith person if required.....prices upon request.

A £50 deposit is required, per week to secure booking. This is non-refundable. We also require a £100 loss/damage deposit. This is paid by a separate cheque when you make the final payment, which is due 8 weeks before your holiday. If your holiday is less then 8 weeks, then payment is required in full, at time of booking.This cheque is returned to you or destroyed once we have had confirmation from our Property Management Team that the apartment has been left in good order.

PLEASE NOTE : The complex has introduced a small fixed charge of approx €10.50 per week for electricity and water. This is payable by guests at reception upon departure along with keys.

About Costa Caleta, Fuerteventura

Costa Caleta (formerly known as Caleta de Fuste) thrives on tourism, with lots of accommodation to offer, a fantastic golden sandy beach popular for water sports enthusiasts. The tourist centre of El Castillo (the castle) stands next to the harbour and is well worth a visit.

The town of Caleta is often referred to as a holiday village. In the last few years they have done a lot of work with the beaches so as well as the huge horseshoe shaped beach, they have also created three beautiful sheltered 'lagoons' just a couple of hundred yards away - they form a pair of giant stone arms reaching out into the ocean but not quite meeting in the middle. This means that the beautifully clean Atlantic ocean refreshes the lagoons constantly, tiny fish dart amongst your toes and it feels like a lovely safe place to bathe. These are therefore also great for swimming and paddling with the children and somehow you feel incredibly bouyant - like the Dead Sea - you can just float as though sitting in an armchair. The beaches are thick soft sand (actually better than the large one) and don't get crowded either. As part of the giant 'arms' there is also a wooden boardwalk with a lovely cafe at the end on a stone island. This is a fantastic spot for a drink, meal or ice cream as you are actually 'in' the ocean with a gorgeous view back to the little town and a lovely breeze coming off the multi hued sea - truly fabulous on a hot day.

There is a multitude of good restaurants in Costa Caleta that can cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Steaks and Fish are particularly good, however there are also Chinese, Indian, Greek and English restaurants all within a close area. There are also a number of good supermarkets within the area.

Situated on the east coast of the island, roughly 10km south of the airport and approximately 20 minutes south of Puerto del Rosario. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro (65p) it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around. Budget car rental in Costa Caleta is available for those wishing to explore the island at their leisure.

Owner's Tips

The large golden sandy beach is only a 10-15 minute walk away from your apartment where you will also find the attractive Marina.

There is a large Euro Spar supermarket at the Altantico Shopping Centre which is a 5 minute drive away. This is by far the cheapest shop for food, drink etc. However, there are several smaller supermarkets located around the resort.

There is a good range of shops and restaurants in Caleta de Fuste, most of them being within easy walking distance from the apartment.

Note, the Chinese Restaurant adjoining the complex is highly recommended with generous portions and very tasty food.

There is a local mini train which starts by the Marina and takes you right to the top end of the resort with many stops along the way. This only costs 1 Euro. There are many shops, bars and restaurants on this route. See Caleta de Fuste street map in apartment for details of the route.

Bus stops are located close by. If you turn right out of the complex and walk to the top of the road you will come to the main road. Turn left and the bus stop is just a few yards along this road. There is a bus time table in the apartment, but should you wish to check up to date times then you can go to the tourist information office which is located just up the road, at the local Police Station.

There is a golf course located close to the apartment.

We have 3 children aged 19, 17 & 11.

We first went to Corralejo, Fuerteventura in 2008,loved it so much we went back in 2009 & '11. Visited a friends apartment in Caleta de Fuste in October 2011 and loved this even more, we decided we would like to try and purchase our very own property....... here we are in January 2012 and we have done just that!

What we love about our property
Location is just perfect, near the beach, has it's own stairs leading upto our own private sun terrace and there is also a communal pool.

Area, close to all amenities, we think you would need to be out there for at least 2 months to sample every restaurant!

Complex is well maintained with friendly reception staff.
