This is a privately owned upstairs apartment (with own private staircase) which is located on a very attractive, clean and relaxing complex, with a large well maintained swimming pool. The pool has a children’s area and plenty of sun beds.
There is also a small English bar on the complex which serves food throughought the day, 7 days a week. The bar has live music most nights and closes around 11:30pm , so there are no rowdy late nights.
The apartment is clean and benefits from being fully refurbished recently. It comprises of a bedroom (twin beds), fitted wardrobe with shelving, separate bathroom with walk-in shower, efficient shower and toilet. The kitchen area is well equipped with new crockery, cutlery and mugs, kettle, fridge, toaster, hob, microwave, saucepans, frying pan and all necessary utensils. There is also an iron and ironing board .
The comfortable and spacious lounge is well furnished with 2 large English double sofa beds. There is also a pine storage cupboard, coffee table, chest of drawers and a good sized table and chairs. Along with the colour TV, DVD player and stereo you will find a selection of CD's and DVD's.
Double doors from the lounge open out onto your own fully furnished and private sun terrace.
All bedding, towels and tea towels are brand new this year. A midweek clean is an option for an additional cost - please specify if you require this when booking.
Please note, we always leave tea, coffee, sugar and milk along with drinking chocolate , a large bottle of drinking water and toilet rolls. Please can you ensure that you replenish any items used before leaving so that the next party arriving can benefit from this additional service. There is also a good selection of maps, books and brochures to help you find your way around the island. Please do not remove these. Thank you.
Please Note. The complex have recently introduced a weekly charge for electricity and water. To avoid increasing our weekly rental charges, we now ask guests to pay this bill at reception before departure. This is a fixed charge of just under 10euros per week. We ask that you either send the receipt back to us with the keys or ask reception to leave it in the ''pidgeon-hole'' for apartment 212. Thank you.

Prices start from £160 per week for the apartment. Any size party from 1 to 6 people, any week of the year. Prices held till December 2008.
£100 deposit required to secure booking. This is non-refundable. We also require a £100 loss/damage deposit. This is paid by a separate cheque when you make the final payment. This cheque is returned to you or destroyed once we have had the keys returned to us and our property manager has checked that the apartment is in good order.

Costa Caleta (formerly known as Caleta de Fuste) thrives on tourism, with lots of accommodation to offer, a fantastic golden sandy beach popular for water sports enthusiasts. The tourist centre of El Castillo (the castle) stands next to the harbour and is well worth a visit.
The town of Caleta is often referred to as a holiday village. The man made beach has been carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe. This ensures it is perfectly safe for children of all ages. Those wanting to be a little more adventurous can go diving, hire jet skis or learn to windsurf at the water centre on the beach. Costa Caleta harbour is home to many yachts, catamarans and boats which provide local trips as well as providing a beautiful backdrop in the evenings.
There is a multitude of good restaurants in Costa Caleta that can cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Steaks and Fish are particularly good, however there are also Chinese, Indian, Greek and English restaurants all within a close area. There are also a number of good supermarkets within the area.
Situated on the east coast of the island, roughly 10km south of the airport and approximately 20 minutes south of Puerto del Rosario. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro (65p) it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around. Budget car rental in Costa Caleta is available for those wishing to explore the island at their leisure.
The large golden sandy beach is only a 10-15 minute walk away from your apartment where you will also find the attractive Marina.
There is a large Euro Spar supermarket at the Altantico Shopping Centre which is a 5 minute drive away or if taxi required the cost is approximately 2 Euros. This is by far the cheapest shop for food, drink etc. However, there are several smaller supermarkets located around the resort.
There is a good range of shops and restaurants in Caleta de Fuste, most of them being within easy walking distance from the apartment.
Note, the Chinese Restaurant adjoining the complex is highly recommended with generous portions and very tasty food.
There is a local mini train which starts by the Marina and takes you right to the top end of the resort with many stops along the way. This only costs 1 Euro. There are many shops, bars and restaurants on this route. See Caleta de Fuste street map in apartment for details of the route.
Bus stops are located close by. If you turn right out of the complex and walk to the top of the road you will come to the main road. Turn left and the bus stop is just a few yards along this road. There is a bus time table in the apartment, but should you wish to check up to date times then you can go to the tourist information office which is located just up the road, at the local Police Station.
There is a golf course located close to the apartment.
Sue and I have been friends for more than 15 years. We are both nurses, and met when working at the same hospital. About 6 years ago, we had our first 'girly' holiday in Fuerteventura. Sue had been several times before, but it was my first time.
We both have grown up children now, and love to get over to the apartment as often as possible!
What we love about the island of Fuerteventura is the year-round sunshine and the relaxed, laid back atmosphere.
Our apartment is on a lovely clean, well maintained complex. The pool bar is great, especially for breakfasts, snacks and a relaxing drink during the evening or while sunbathing by the pool during the day! We have fitted a locking gate at the top of our private steps, to allow for increased security.
When we are at the apartment, we spend many hours sitting on our large, private sun terrace.
Evenings are usually spent eating out at one of the many reasonably priced restaurants in the area.
One thing for sure, is that we always come back feeling relaxed, refreshed and with a suntan!!

“First impression, ok needs a bit of 'smartening' but ideal loation for shops, restaurants. First appartment fairly difficult access and very small. Moved to 'accessible' appartment. Easier access but it SMELLED AWFUL! Advice.... keep flushing toilet!?On further enquiry a HUGE can of air freshener?? Inventory stated telephone. Searched to no avail. Reception comment...haven't had phones in appartments for three years!!? On plus side shower was great.Loo? If not disabled before use...? Pool access about which we had asked and been assured it was good ...NOT! With help of very kind visitors and my husband entry and exit was manageable.
Maids were excellent and insisted a new/different fridge was brought in as fridge in situ was totally blocked with ice!
Receptioin gentleman was GREAT! Female somewhat lacking in 'people/communication' skills.We certainly won't be back!.”
