About Famara Bungalows

Extremely comfortable self contained apartment, comprises 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Fully fitted kitchen including washing machine , fridge freezer, micro wave , oven & hob. Living room with TV which is multi channel with a TDT box, video, stereo and DVD. Board games, books & DVD´s are provided. We also have a beginners surf board for your use as well as body boards, fishing nets & buckets & spades. The terrace provides outside dining for 4 people overlooking the garden and out over the coastline, BBQ & garden which has a large trampoline! We can also offer a beginners surf board, for those that want to have a go. Welcome pack provided on arrival which includes water, milk, tea, coffee, juice, biscuits, crisps and wine.

The property has amazing sea views, and is only 2 minutes to the beach. Childrens play park. Restaurants nearby and small supermarket, plus local car hire. Ideal for windsurfers, surfers, kitesurfers, hang gliders & paragliders, cyclists and walking holidays. The apartment is also has wheelchair access.

The dramatic beach and bay of Famara has just been voted the second best stretch of sand in the whole of Spain including the Balearics & Ibiza. As a result of an online survey conducted by the travel website Trip Advisor.

Lanzarote´s most picturesque beach beat off stiff completion from other breathtaking beaches across the Spanish mainland, the Canaries and the Balearics to secure second spot.

The price of £450 is charged all year round, this is for the apartment regardless of 2 or 4 people sharing. No charge for infants and a cot is available on request. A 50% deposit is required on booking. A welcome pack is provided on arrival which includes, tea, coffee, milk, juice, water, wine, biscuits and crisps

About Famara, Lanzarote

The main attraction at Famara has to be the beach, whilst not suitable for swimming; it is a surfer’s paradise. The working village of La Caleta de Famara is found at one end of the beach, this is predominately a fishing village that boasts some great tapas bars and restaurants to relax in. Famara cliffs dominate the other end of the beach and are some 450m high.

Owner's Tips

Ideally situated on famara beach, a paradise for water sports including surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Schools and instruction available for both surfing and kite surfing locally. A great destination for Hang gliders & Paragliders as the 2 most popular take off points are only a 10 minute drive away in either direction.

A 2 minute drive to Caleta de Famara which has an array of restaurants specialising in locally caught fish and Spanish cuisine. Great for walking and cycling and only 10 minutes drive to the historic town of Teguise. A couple of the restaurants you can actually sit on a terrace on the beach looking out to the water, which is idyllic

We have been renting our apartment for the last few years. We also live in Famara right next door, so are always on hand, should you have any queries or, need local advice or restaurant recommendations! Paul is a keen hang glider & paraglider, so is a minefield of local information for pilots. He also offers tandem flights for the fearless! Our children also live in Famara, & Tom & Maxi, the eldest are keen surfers & kite surfers, so are on hand to guide you to the nearest & best wave breaks.

What we love about our business
Famara is a really special place, surrounded by stunning scenery & uninterrupted views so its lovely to see guests enjoying the area & having a great holiday. Its really rewarding to see the same people come back year after year.

“Just great! cozy and nicely decorated the cottage is a great nest. The sea view is definitely a bonus and Lynne the owner is nice and very helpfull. Lots of books and videos for the evenings. Do not hesitate. We go there very often because it feels like home.”

“The place is in a perfect setting, with a very beautiful view of the beach and Famara cliffs. Besides, the owners were really nice and helpful with any little thing we needed during our stay.
In a few words, everything was just great, definitely recommend it !!

The only thing I can think of that would make it 100% perfect is some sort of heating system for the winter cold days - which fortunately are almost none in Lanzarote :)”
