Another popular resort on the Costa del Sol, Nerja is situated to the east of Malaga. The fantastic beach with its golden sand is a huge bonus, and over the years this old fishing town has transformed into a lively holiday destination. You can visit the nearby caves that are a few kilometres outside the town, or see the famous “Balcon de Europa” in the historical part of the town.
As is common on the Costa del Sol, outside living is big. If you want to eat out every night, you can. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants offering both traditional and international cuisine. What better way to walk a meal off than by wandering round the narrow parts of the old town and imagining how it used to look years ago.
If you are looking for a holiday villa in Nerja there are many to choose from. There's a large selection of accommodation in Nerja catering for all party sizes and budgets.
Nerja is an ideal location for exploring the local area, both into the mountains and along the coast. Nearby excursions include the Nerja caves, the restored Moorish village of Frigiliana and the spectacular cliff-top village of Comares. Less than two hours drive away is Granada and the famous Alhambra Place. For those of a cultural disposition, perhaps a trip to the Picasso Museum in Malaga.
About us
My wife and I first went to Nerja about twelve years ago and decided 'this is for us'. Although we have now bought four properties in the Burriana area, we are not travel or rental agents, we run them privately as our long-term pension fund. We hope to retire out there someday, in the meantime we maintain and look after them as anyone would their own home.
What we love about our property
All our four properties are within half a mile of each other, near the beach and the town centre, of what is one of the most popular resorts in the area.
Year we bought the property: 2000
