The town of Mijas lies in an enviable position on the Sierra de Mijas hills, offering stunning views across the region. This charming pueblo has winding roads, quaint alleyways and plenty to entertain visitors of all ages
The building of many Mijas golf courses has attracted foreign tourists from far and wide. Mijas villa rental and luxury golf apartments offer the perfect accommodation for those looking to "tee off" each morning.
Mijas Pueblo is one of the gems of Spain. The incredible views of the coast, mountains and sea attract visitors from all parts of the world. About half the local residents are Spanish and the rest are from many different countries yet everyone is friendly and as a result the atmosphere is very relaxing.
If you need a restful holiday with no driving there is plenty to see and do in the village. You can just enjoy the scenery, the Spanish culture, the micro climate and eat excellent food in one of over forty restaurants. Or, if you are more energetic, you may like to walk and birdwatch along the mountain trails behind the village.
For those who like to explore there are many historical places that are within easy reach. Malaga, Marbella and Puerto Banus are about twenty minutes by car, Gibraltar and Ronda one hour, Seville two hours, Cordoba one a half hours, the lakes one hour, Granada (The Alhambra Palace) two hours and the Sierra Nevada (skiing) about one a half hours.
Next to the beautiful Constitutional Church Square in the old part of Fuengirola, is the area locally known as Fish Alley which has numerous inexpensive restaurants where a 3 course meal with 20 choices in each course can cost as little as €7. Fuengirola, with its long sandy beaches, has improved hugely during recent years and now has department stores, numerous shopping precincts and a much better atmosphere and reputation. It is just a ten minute drive from Mijas Pueblo but if you don't want to drive, there is an excellent local bus service.
There are many more beautiful beaches stretching for miles in both directions and close by there is also Tivoli World, the Aqua Park, Fuengirola ecological zoo, Benelmadena cable car and marina and many other leisure activities including, of course, numerous golf courses. You would need at least amonth to see it all.

“We have just returned from a fabulous holiday. We chose to stay at the Casita Julian, and the accommodation was everything you could ask for. There were all amenities and it was home from home. You can have breakfast on the terrace, lunch under cover outside, and there are also dining facilities inside for those who don't like the fresh air. The pool is just right, and after you have spent your time in the pool what nicer than to then transfer to the spa. Mijas is a lovely place to holiday, and the scenery from the property is breathtaking. Both Joan and Maurice are very helpful, and we found some really nice places to eat with their recommendation. We have loved it so much that we booked for a week next year before we left.”

“Have just returned from another fabulous week in Casita Julian. This is our second visit in two years, this time with all the family and can not rate it enough! Apartments are beautifully furnished and have everything you would want. Fantastic views, a lovely private pool and a a spa, which was regularly used! Mijas is just a short walk from the apartments..downhill, where there are a number of lovely restaurants and bars. It's uphill all the way for the return though (as views don't come easily!), so a hire car may be an option for some people or a short taxi ride. Thank you once again to Joan and Maurice.”

“Maurice and Joan are the perfect hosts, when we arrived they showed us our appartment, we stayed in Casita Janine and we agree with one of the other reviews the view are out of this world, the appartment was lovely and well maintained very clean and we had all we needed included.
Joan showed us all we needed in the appartment then the rest of the property, she let us know some places we may be interested in and said if we needed anything to let her or Maurice know, they never intruded on our privacy once and the only time they came over to talk ( they always said morning, afternoon, evening) is if we started the conversation. When we were in the pool one evening they did make sure the temperature was ok which we thought was very good of them and showed they cared about us as visitors.
We celebrated our 30th wedding Anniversary whilst there and liked the tranquility of being able to sit and watch the sunset of an evening whilst on the balcony.
We are going again as our son wants to spend his 21st there because as he said I need to have a quiet break from it all and this is the ideal place for him to do that.
Joan & Maurice thank you for a lovely stay and please keep up the good work. xxxxxxxxxxxxx”

“We have just returned from these apartments. We had a marvellous time there. The weather was superb which made it all the more enjoyable. We rented both apartments and found them absolutely superb with breathtaking views. Joan and Maurice had provided every possible facility. They were both warm and friendly and very helpful to us. Thank you both for a wonderful time at your beautiful villa. We hope to return again in the near future.
Kindest regards
Pat & Peter Nelson”
