This charming 1 bed cottage is ideal for couples or a single traveller - also has a double sofa-bed in the living room (4 possible on short stays).
The living room comes with multi-language satellite TV and BBC/Sky, DVD,VHS, CD hi-fi plus ADSL laptop connection point or free Wi-Fi 24/7. Books, games & DVD library and log burner for Winter lets. French window with balcony overlooking rear garden, pool and mountains. Stable door leads up to a private roof terrace which has 360° views, 2xloungers, iron mosaic table and chairs. A perfect place to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the sunsets.
The double bedroom is accessed directly from large 2nd terrace with furniture for 4, ideal for al fresco dining. Bedroom has two shuttered windows, antique double bed, bedside tables, large wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is an arch leading to the en-suite shower room.
The cottage has a traditional Spanish kitchen, complete with electric oven, gas hob with extractor hood, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, double sink, washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, iron and board, coffee machine, and table for 4.
Cleaning is done for your arrival and a welcome food pack is included containing water, soft drinks, wine, bread, eggs, cheese, butter, olives etc. Linen and towels are provided and duvets in low/mid season. Bring your own beach towels. There is also use of folding beach chairs, cool box and umbrella for picnics.

This is the largest town in the Costa Tropical and is a great place to stay if you wish to explore the inland areas within Andalucia as well as the coast. It takes a little over an hour to reach by car from Malaga airport.
Large quantities of fruits and flowers are grown in this area, making it quite a commercial area and there are roughly 50,000 people live there. It’s not overly brimming with things to do for tourists, however it’s great for shopping, eating and drinking. Many visitors head for Playa de Poniente to relax by the beach.
Casa Pequeña, a perfect retreat, tranquil semi-rural setting, yet just 5 minute drive to bustling market town of Motril.
Most travellers find the sub-tropical gardens a haven, suited for alfresco living almost year round.

My name is Patrick, I live here in Cortijo Nuevo with my elderly father and 2 friendly hounds, Ben & Jerry. Moving over from Dorset, UK in 2001 (originally from Cumbria) seeking and finding a less stressful lifestyle!
Property renovations quickly followed and Casa Pequena was born, cottage garden laid out alongside the established Cortijo gardens.
Property successfully rented for short term holiday lets ever since, alongside El Apartamento. I manage both rental properties, and maintain the gardens and pool - on hand to deal with any questions and advice - but respect travellers privacy.
Cortijo Nuevo is often referred to as an oasis; hidden amongst farmland and agricultural greenhouses - not an average holiday property! Lovely Mediterranean and mountain views, peaceful gardens - yet just 5 minute drive to Motril town, coast and shopping.

“This summer will be our 3rd visit to Casa Pequena..... need I say more. It will actually be our 4th visit, but stayed in El Apartmento last time, and both apartments are absolutley fantastic. There is nothing better than sitting out on one of the terraces on an evening, sipping your wine, and admiring the beautiful gardens.
Both apartments are well furnished, and contain everything you may need.
The dogs Ben and Jerry are a joy to have around, and give the place a homely feel.
Patrick is usually on hand if you need him, but unless you need him you wouldnt know he was there.
The town of Motril and supermarket are just a 5 min drive away. Granada is just an hour up the motorway, you would be insane if you didnt visit the Alhambra Palace in Granada. It is well signposted from the motorway.
Our favourite beach is at Salobrena, which is just a 10 min drive. And a trip up into the mountains is an absolute must, the scenery is breath taking.”

“"Our stay here was so much better than expected. It rained heavily each day we were there - and yet we still had a fantastic, relaxing time. The casita had all the facilities we needed - we even cooked our Christmas Dinner there and wanted for nothing. It really is a home from home´. The casita was snug, warm´(the wood burner is fabulous), relaxing the garden gorgeous the area perfect Patrick on hand when needed but not intrusive there was plenty of good walking for our dog Molly (and Ben & Jerry welcomed her with open paws!) we cannot praise this place enough and we will certainly be visiting again as soon as we are able to. Sitting on the sofa, candles lit and looking out over the fabulous garden while enjoying a glass of wine proved to be the perfect relaxing evening."”
