This lovely villa was once part of an old farm house and retains all its original charm, thick walls and courtyards. It has been newly decorated to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The lovely, large living room has an attractive beamed ceiling, a dining area to seat eight, a wood burning stove and doors leading to the courtyard. The separate, country style kitchen is very well equipped and has a breakfast area and door to the courtyard. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, patio doors to the rear courtyard and a very attractive en-suite bathroom with Moroccan style cobalt and white tiles. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a Canarian style shower room with an extra large walk in shower.
The outside areas of the villa are totally private and secluded. A very pretty, flower filled courtyard leads into the property. It has a large, traditional built in dining and barbecue area for cosy al-fresco dining. At the back of the property there is another large walled courtyard, which surrounds the heated swimming pool and sunbathing terrace. The pool measures approximately 8x4metres with roman steps and there is a poolside shower adjacent to it.
Plenty of kids toys, games and videos.

Nestling in the hills behind Tias, Conil is a perfect example of the traditional Canarian village. While quiet and rural, it is in easy reach of shops, restaurants and the beaches of Puerto del Carmen. The village has a supermarket, 2 local tapas bars and an international restaurant. The larger town of Tias is a few minutes drive and the main shopping centres of Carmen are just 15 minutes away. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in a tranquil setting, without being isolated.
The house is very secluded and quiet and yet only minutes away from Tias and Puerto del Carmen.
We have left plenty of books and videos for all ages.
In addition there is a travel cot, baby nest and a huge selection of toys and games again to suit all ages.
There is a washing machine, hairdyrer and ironing board.
There is a wood burning fire in case it gets a bit cold in the "winter" evenings.

“If you are looking for a relaxing break in a quite location but close to villages and towns and only a 15 minute drive to the old town at Puerto Del Carmen , then Casa Candida is the place to stay. If you are looking for a faceless modern villa this is not for you. If you want somewhere with character, charm and history then its not to be missed.
My wife and I have had a holiday at this villa on several occasions and love its unique charm. It is remarkably large and it is difficult to imagine how much space there is inside when you draw up outside. From the front there are excellent views over the sea and from the rear the stark and beautiful volcanic mountains.
There is a very well stocked shop just a three minute walk away.
We have found all electrical items to work efficiently each time we have visited and the owner has been very flexible with arrival and departure dates. The villa is very clean and tidy.
We have booked again for 2010.”

“We have stayed at Casa Candida for family holidays for the past 5 years in February. It is a quiet, comfortable, well equipped, character full finca in a friendly village which has its own supermarket and two tapas bars, As it is in the hills the heat is not so oppresive as near the coast, yet it is easy to get to Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero for beaches, restaurants and shopping. There is parking just outside the entrance. The pool area is sheltered and gets the sun throughout the day and you also have the option of the front courtyard which is lovely for meals as it opens off the kitchen. The evenings in February can still be chilly in Lanzarote but the finca has efficient heaters if needed.
Casa Candida in its quiet village setting in the hills gives you a taste of what the island must have been like before mass tourism came to the Canaries. As a family we have allways enjoyed our peaceful, relaxing holidays at Casa Candida and would highly recommend it.”
