We stayed in Villa Dearsley @ La Torre de Golf in July 2008 and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have tried hotel holidays several times with our kids and although it is enjoyable now we have tried a villa holiday we will be slow to return to a hotel.

The flexibility of the villa is excellent when you have 2 young kids (ours are 4 and 18mths).

On arrival the villa itself was absolutely spotless, the villa is an impressive 3 bedroom villa with a generous garden and perfect size pool for our two kids. It is located in a quiet area of la torre golf resort and there is a road to the front that is very quiet.

I found it difficult to find fault with the accommodation, as I said it was spotlessly clean, very modern and spacious. However if I was to search for fault it was that the garden was not enclosed and there was a steep drop at the back of the pool. (this was advised to us prior to us booking and we took are chances). Luckily enough for us our eldest is sensible enough not to venture and our youngest is young enough not to be interested, next year might be a different situation though!

Villa Dearsley has changed the way our family will holiday and my first port of call will most definitely be Linda before we book anything. the communication was excellent even though she was on holiday when we booked we still got prompt responses to queries.

Ref Dearsley Villa – Torres (Murcia Region)

I would like to commend your service and the quality and value of accommodation offered in my recent holiday with my kids, sister and her daughter too.

From San Javier (Murcia Airport) the accommodation was a relatively straight forward 15 minute drive, using the map supplied in the information posted to me prior to my departure from the UK. On arrival at the Polaris World development, one quick phone call to the local agent (Debbie or Christine), who are based and live their too, and we were met at the entrance and very quickly shown to the villa.

Debbie showed us round this immaculate villa which is virtually new and is equipped with everything you need. Air conditioned and well furnished living area, private (and generously sized pool) 3 bedrooms and so many bathrooms which was perfect for me considering I had to share the week with four females! Debbie took some time to introduce the complex and the location of the various amenities on – site but also went on further to indicate on a map (supplied) which towns, beaches and cities were worth going to see – which we did go to as the week progressed.

Although a large resort the complex is extremely quiet and secure and this made lazy evenings next to the pool a real pleasure. Satellite TV was nice to have as well for catching up on the news and relaxing to watch a movie late on once the kids were finally in their beds.

Having mostly being used to package type holiday for med type holidays, it was a refreshing change to have this style of holiday with no pressure of time, and the flexibility of a late check-out being offered when bookings are such that it is possible.

I found the personal service you all provided 1st class, examples being, how the villa was held on a verbal basis by your company, giving me time to organize and book/confirm flights before finally committing; also within 24 hours of arriving back, Debbie / Christine had already been in touch with you with respect to some items that we had left behind and the willingness you showed by calling me and on offering the return of these – something that would never be expected on a typical holiday abroad. It also demonstrated how closely you work together with the in-country representatives.

I would have no hesitations in recommending Great Holiday Rentals Ltd to friends and family and it is worthy noting that with this style/concept of holiday I think I saved a few hundred pounds over the (alternative budget only!) type package deals that were available to me at the time.
