Hi Linda,
We had a lovely holiday. Villa Krisana was more than a home from home. It so so impressive, we would never book a holiday apartment or hotel for future holidays.

Hi Linda
Well, unbelievably our 2 weeks ended on Sunday - don't know where the time went - but it really was just what the doctor had ordered - my family and I had a really great time. The villa was fantastic, only problem was didn't have any hot water in the kitchen for a day, but Tom and Connie had been there previously and had warned us about it. The workmen duly came on the Monday and knocked a huge hole in the kitchen - promised to return on the Thursday to repaint, but as of Sunday when we left there had been no sign of them - maybe you could let the owners know, so that they can chase up. We visited Murcia on the Thursday after we arrived, I went with my mobile, phone, but on returning to the villa it had disappeared so I had to get the number blocked.
On Friday my husband Pat went out for his usual daily ride - Out at 7.30 each day for approx 3 hours. 1 O'clock arrived - and still no sign of him - I'd just commented to his mum that it was strange that he hadn't returned as yet - when he turned up, literally carrying his bike and covered in cuts and bruises - he had been knocked from his bike by a car driver with a trailer - the trailer had clipped him as it went round the corner. I hadn't driven up to this point as we had got a large 7 seater people carrier, but I had no option but to drive it now. He had an extremely large hole in his lower arm and the fatty tissues were exposed - so it was not really a case for sticking a plaster on. Thank God I'd learnt some Spanish (even though I had given it up in the depths of winter when I couldn't be bothered to go out in the cold and snow).
Went to the gatehouse to find out where the nearest doctor was - told us Balsicas. Arrived in the town and went into a Farmacia to ask again, luckily it was not too far from the Farmacia - As we got to the door, the doctor was just leaving. He could see Pat's plight so he did an about turn and took us in straightaway. He ended up with 5 stitches and a lot of bandages - mostly to his left arm and lots of bruises. The next day we had to go to Torre Pacheco to the Centro Salud. All in all we had to make a series of 4 or 5 visits in order for them to look at and clean and redress the damage. Although we were insured he did not have to pay a Euro for all the treatment that he had. He was given a tetanus jab, and penicillin and pain killer tables (cost of tabs only 8 euros). Needless to say even though he looked a right sight, the very next day he got up and went out for his ride again. Men!
As promised the villa was left in pristine condition. As we left late, we were unable to wash some of the towels that had been used that day so I have left them in the washing machine for the cleaner to do (again, please can you advise owner/cleaner of this). Also again because of using the shower room at the last minute - did not manage to clean this properly. We left the beds airing in readiness for the next people coming, but all bedding, including protectors and top covers have been washed and left in readiness for the cleaner to make up the beds.
Damage: 1 small Ikea glass and 1 patterned Sainsbury's mug. In hindsight, even though the mugs look pretty, I think it would be a better idea to supply plain cream mugs like the other crockery etc that are there at the moment. Much easier to replace unless Connie has bought a stack of them! I fully intended replacing the glass but never managed to get to Ikea when we visited Nuevo Condiminium. Although the BBQ had been built there was no shelves on which to BBQ. Spoke to Tom who said we could buy a small BBQ - which we did and have left. We have also left a Lillo and pool toys and towels and extra suntan lotion - which again can be used by whoever comes next. We also left various forms of food i.e. pasta, cereals etc - we kind of got a bit carried away in Carrefour!
The welcome pack was good - eggs, milk, bread, butter, cakes etc. Don't know if this had been left by Connie or Tom or the cleaner, but greatly appreciated as we had arrived late.
I think it would be a good idea to have instructions from Murcia airport. We knew the area a little, so we had a vague idea of where we were going, so on this occasion there was not the usual arguments in the car with Pat because I had sent us down the wrong motorway!
Linda you were fantastic - will definitely be using your company to book again - hopefully in the not too distant future. Look forward to receiving the return of deposit once you have heard that the villa is OK.
Hope that you too had a great holiday.
Kind regards![]()
