Always popular with Spanish tourists for many years, the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) has recently begun to attract tourists from other parts of Europe.

With a distinct Spanish flavour, there is a great deal to offer all types of holidaymakers – history, culture, golf and other sporting activities are plentiful. Its a nature lovers paradise and perfect for families.

Beach lovers are spoilt for choice, as Huelva's coastline is one long expanse of fine golden sand.

Visitors have a choice of town beaches with pedestrianised promenades, ample bars and restaurants yet providing plenty of space to relax. Just a short drive will take you to quieter beaches with beach bars backed by dunes and pine forests. The beaches of this area have for many years been awarded the European Blue Flag.

The town beaches have a range of water sports on offer including windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, pedaloes and banana boat rides.

The nearest beach to the villa is La Antilla, approx 15-20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car. A cool box, beach umbrellas and beach chairs, buckets and spades are available at the house for use by guests.

The House

Altavista Villa is a recently built three storey townhouse located in a private gated community on Islantilla Golf Course ("Campo de Golf"), in Heulva province on the Costa de la Luz ("Coast of Light").

The property is comprehensively and comfortably equipped for 6 people. Surrounded by landscaped communal gardens with two large freeform swimming pools, it is a perfect place for a relaxing, care free stay. The more active holidaymaker will find plenty of recreational activities close by and will have ample opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, both land and water based.

The convenient location makes it an ideal base for discovering the attractions of this unspoilt and little known region of Spain, often referred to as the Spanish Algarve. With the central heating and the attractions of the golf course, it is a fantastic year round destination.

Ground Floor

Kitchen, Utility and Cloakroom

The galley kitchen has an oven, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and ample kitchen utensils and dinnerware.

In the utility, there is a tumble dryer and the water/CH boiler.

Near the main entrance and completing the ground floor accommodation is a cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin.

Lounge, Dining Area, Patio and Garden

The lounge is tastefully furnished with a pine dining table and 6 chairs, large sofa, 2 armchairs, pine sideboard, antique cupboard and coffee tables, TV and DVD player.

Sliding patio doors lead directly onto a patio and private garden with table and 6 chairs.

The patio and garden overlook the golf course and are south westerly facing, hence having the benefit of sun all day long. The full width awning provides protection against the heat of the midday sun.

First Floor

Front Bedroom

The front bedroom has a hideaway bed thus enabling it to be used as a single or double bedroom.

The three built in wardrobes provide ample hanging and storage space. Both this and the rear bedroom have drop down slatted blinds that are very effective in providing a darkened room for the afternoon siesta, whilst also allowing good ventilation from the welcome breeze.

Rear Bedroom

The rear bedroom also has a hideaway bed and full range of built in wardrobes. The sliding doors lead to a large balcony with views over the golf course, lake and sea.

The full bathroom comprising WC, bidet wash hand basin and shower is shared between the two bedrooms.

Second Floor

Master Bedroom and En-suite Bathroom

The master bedroom has two beds which can be used either as a large double or two singles. Ample built in wardrobes provide extensive storage facilities .

The large en-suite bathroom has cupboards, WC, bidet, sink and bath with shower.

Golf

The Costa de la Luz is an ideal all year round venue for golf enthusiasts. It shares the same climate as its more famous neighbour the Portuguese Algarve. There is a set of clubs at the house at the disposal of guests.

The Club House is a few minutes away and has a golf shop, restaurant and excellent views over the fairways.

The 27-hole Islantilla Golf Course is located adjacent to the house, the Club House and driving range are less than 5 minutes walk away.

The course has been the venue for the Turespaña Masters and APG of Spain as well as a variety of other Challenge Tour tournaments.

Within a 20-30 minute drive of the house are 6 other golf courses - Bellavista Golf at Aljaraque, Isla Canela Golf Club, El Rompido Golf Course, Nuevo Portil Golf Course, Castro Marim Golf Course (Portugal), and Quinta de Cima Golf Course (Portugal).
