Visiting the north or south of the Tenerife is like experiencing two different holidays. The north is traditionally Canarian with beautiful sleepy villages, peace and tranquility. The south is the main tourist area, complete with beaches, attractions and nightlife in plentiful supply. The division between the north and south of the island is defined by the National Park of Teide. To reach the summit of the mountain, you can experience a spectacular cable car ride up 1200m, where you'll find magnificent views across the neighbouring Canary islands of La Gomera to the west and Gran Canaria to the east.
