The Costa Calida extends along 250 km from the beach of Carolina in Augilas, a few kilometres from the province of Almeria, to the beach at El Mojon on the boundary with Alicante.
As with most of the Costa's in Spain, Costa Cálida has a second name that it's known by - "The Warm Coast" - due to the fact that it is blessed with over 3,000 hours of sunshine each year.
