Quick guide to Ronda

The 18th century bridge called the Puente Nuevo is one of the dominating features that surround this town. You will often see people looking down the gorge into the waters of the Rio Guadalevin below. However there are many other delights to be seen in Ronda, one of which is the famous bullring. Opened in 1785 it is one of the oldest and widest bullrings in the whole of Spain. Even if you don’t want to watch a live fight, the ring is worth visiting and there is also a museum next door that is a wealth of information on this rather unique art form.

Ronda is one of many historical towns in Andalucia and it’s popularity has grown with day trippers over the years. Due to the location of the bridge, the town has developed a north/south divide, however both have equally interesting streets to explore and visitors to this charming town won’t be disappointed.
