Magaluf became a main holiday destination when tourism went through the roof here in the 1960´s. Approx 10 years ago it was labelled as one of the top three “party destinations” of Europe. Not happy with that, Magaluf has begun to change since, and it’s now building stylish accommodation to replace the one-time high-rise hotels. It’s location on the island makes it a great place to stay whilst having many attractions near by, making it ideal for people of all ages. One thing to retain it’s popularity is Magaluf´s beach. Naturally it’s quite crowded in peak seasons, however there’s plenty to do if you fancy a change from simply sunbathing. If you want to be alone on the beach then head for Cap de Cala Figuera, which offers deserted beaches with magnificent views of the Bay of Palma.
