Costa Almeria Golf Courses

It's not only the Costa del Sol that has a growing number of golf courses, visitors to Costa Almeria are also spoilt for choice with a range of courses across the region. If you’re heading to Roquetas de Mar Club de Golf Playa Serena is well worth a try. An 18 hole course which is reckoned to be the flattest in Spain, although some difficulties are presented with it’s long holes and the design of the green.

Twenty minutes outside of Roquetas de Mar is Club de Golf La Envia. Designed around the mountains, this 18 hole course is protected from the elements making it ideal conditions to play in.

The Valle de Este 18 hole course located near Vera is designed to challenge golfers of all levels. Designer José Canales was careful to integrate the course around the surrounding landscape by making use of the indigenous vegetation.

There is a 9 hole course El Cortijo Grande in Turre. Gareth Edwards is the resident PGA professional, he specialises in 9 hole lessons for those who want to improve their stroke.

The Desert Springs golf course, found 20 minutes outside Mojacar is the first desert course to be built in Europe and is reckoned to be just as good as those found in California and Arizona. This 18 hole course has professional tuition and additional features include a bar/restaurant, shopping and driving range.
